McClellan’s and Pink Boots Society Team Up For International Women’s Day
March 8, 2019 | Jaclyn MenendezIt’s no coincidence that on today, International Women’s Day, you’re reading about McClellan’s Brewing Company. Located in Fort Collins, CO, McClellan’s is a small brewery located in a shopping center at the northwest side of town. Their simple facade belies a cozy interior and an impressive brew list that specializes in cask ales. McClellan’s recently collaborated on a squarrel-aged brown ale that will be featured at the upcoming Collaboration Fest in Denver on March 16th. Since their collaboration goal was to highlight and empower women in the craft beer industry, they had an easy choice on who to collaborate with: the Pink Boots Society. Read More

Baxter Brewing Co | Muddy Boots
May 6, 2020 | Kailey PartinAmid this pandemic, the inequalities that hold up the structure of our society are more evident than ever, the reality that the American culture as we know it simply does not work without this inequitable foundation is no longer deniable. As our nation begins the endeavor of reopening our economy, we are forced to reconcile this realization with our desire to return to normal. But is that “normal” what we are truly craving? We are at a precipitous where as a society we have the time to reflect on realities of our system if we so choose this is our moment to reopen our country a new, different, better; will we take this chance or will we let it pass us by?

Pink Boots Austin Chapter Cranks Out Record Number of 2020 Collaborations
April 10, 2020 | Pam CatoeIt seems like so long ago we got together and brewed some beer for the annual Pink Boots Society Collaboration Brew Day. I wanted to publish this article weeks ago, but things were beginning to escalate around the country, and it just didn’t seem like good timing.
Last year, Austin hosted a record number of collaboration brew days, releasing seven collaboration beers in total. For 2020, a full twenty-one breweries signed up to do a collaboration beer, and some of those collaborations have been postponed for a few months. However, several Austin breweries are gearing up to release their collaboration beers, and a few have them available now.
We spoke with Maggie Pace, marketing director at Circle Brewing, Karen Killough, co-founder, Vista Brewing and Libby Brennen, events coordinator at St. Elmo Brewing, about their respective collaborations.

On Tap Credit Union Debuts Pink Boots & CBG Charitable Debit Cards
August 27, 2019 | Tristan ChanThis is a sponsored post on behalf of our friends at On Tap Credit Union
America’s craft beer revolution has been built by neighborhood breweries that sought to create a gathering place for locals to share in community. This notion of bringing people together, lending a hand to your neighbors and supporting local causes and businesses that work together to further a community is the bedrock of what On Tap Credit Union was founded upon.
Born from within the Colorado brewing industry, On Tap Credit Union continues its mission to support and provide financial assistance to breweries, beer industry friends and craft beer fans alike. And today, they have announced partnerships with the Pink Boots Society and the Colorado Brewers Guild, two organizations that in turn, also aim to further the advancement of diversity and community with Colorado craft beer.

Hold My Crown | 10 Variant Release of a Suburban-Chicago Pink Boots Collaboration
April 12, 2019 | Mathew PowersThe Women of Suburban Chicago, who took part in the Pink Boots Live Brew Day at Skeleton Key Brewing for International Women’s Day in March, had one thing in mind: make good beer. The brewers and brewery professionals, who happened to be women, came together to do what all beer fans love: transform yeast, malt, hops and water into a wonderful, fermented beverage. As a byproduct of brewing in the Pink Boots’ event, the women did accomplish one extra item: they demonstrated (again) that brewing prowess has zero to do with gender. Any doubt that women can brew was immediately stripped away when patrons enjoyed the nine varieties (of the 10 made) of Hold My Crown Rustic Lithuanian Pale Ale, released April 5 at Iron & Glass bottle shop. From base beer to Kombucha, the variants proved to not only be delicious, but a geeky exploration of flavor combinations.
Pink Boots Live Brew Day | Women of Suburban Chicago
March 8, 2019 | Mathew PowersThe Pink Boots Society’s “Live Brew Day: Women of Suburban Craft Beer Collab” event at Skeleton Key Brewing (Suburban Chicago) focused on one principal goal — make great beer.
Certainly, Pink Boots Society events present a bonding opportunity for women of the industry, while simultaneously fostering awareness of their contributions. Nevertheless, from the presence of Omega Yeast Labs to the many brewers and industry women present, the event made it abundantly clear that crafting excellent beer served as priority #1. And, in doing so, demonstrated how possession of a Y-chromosome has nothing to do with becoming a skilled, imaginative beer professional.

Meet Me In California | 2023 California Craft Beer Summit Recap
April 12, 2023 | Robert FrenchThe 2023 California Craft Beer Summit highlighted the industry’s achievements and current challenges. The Summit has changed some of its focus from past years. The educational sessions were geared 100% toward the industry. They had no general “beer lover” element, which meant no beer and donut pairings for the beer geeks. This year’s event also did not culminate with a beer festival.

Hop Water—The Next Big Thing?
March 2, 2023 | Whitney Froelich 1As the weather in some parts of the country is warming up, a bubbly, refreshing NA beverage is riding the shirttails of Dry January. Hop Water is sliding into a go-to position for many beer enthusiasts. Hop water, which is essentially dry-hopped carbonated water, provides that crisp punch of Lupulin flavor we love in IPAs without the carbs and alcohol—making it suitable to drink anytime, anywhere.
Varietal Beer Co. | Valley Fresh IPA
September 27, 2022 | Whitney FroelichWhere hops are, fresh hop IPAs are, too. The first week of September brings a buzz to the community of Sunnyside, Washington. Agriculture built this town — hop culture, to be exact. The first week of September (give or take) is the kickoff of harvest season, and drinking a Valley Fresh IPA is a great way to celebrate it.
