PorchDrinking Playlist | February Funk Playlist
These past few months, I’ve been curiously enamored with the funk genre. I’m not quite sure what sparked this love-affair, yet I speculate it has something to do with my recent stay at a place called the “Mojo Inn” (a charming, modern hostel with a brilliant Motown-inspired lobby playlist), or perhaps seeing & hearing a good friend and his 9-piece funk band play live shows (s/o http://www.grampsthevamp.com).
Regardless of the exact motive, I made my 2014 New Year’s resolution to listen to more funk music. In this playlist you will hear my (novice-status) decisions for the best funky beats I could acquire in the few weeks of 2014.
