Damn, we are back at it again with those sweet Instagrams! We are already halfway through July. Please slow down summer, we still need to drink you in for a bit longer! Cheers to another week of nice photos including a shot from the MLB Allstar Game that happened on Tuesday!
Here we are in July already! We hope that you had a nice long holiday weekend and celebrated Independence Day in the best way possible! From the looks of Instagram this week some more tasty beers were consumed, lots of food was eaten at BBQs, several breweries were visited, plenty of traveling adventures were had, and many fireworks were set off! Be sure to keep posting those nice photos and be sure to tag us in them if you’d like a chance to be featured! Cheers!
Somehow it is already the last week of June?! Where is the year going? With the looks of this week’s Beerstagrams many of you are again out and about exploring nature and taking in the views with a craft beer in hand! We also have a few nice shots from breweries and there is even a beer-inspired nod to Shark Week in this week’s round up as well! Cheers!
From the looks of this week’s Beerstagram, MANY beers were enjoyed outside! As to be expected with the first week of summer kicking off, we couldn’t be more excited. It is most definitely porch drinking season now, hooray! It also seems like a lot of IPAs were popular this week.
Located nearly smack dab between Denver and Boulder, right off of the US 36 corridor drag, you can find yourself at 4 Noses Brewing Company in Broomfield, Colorado. 4 Noses Brewing Company jumped onto the Colorado beer scene in May of 2014 with their tastefully modern taproom and brewery. Shortly thereafter, they were already making waves with their incredible selection of beer.
This week’s installment of Beerstagram seems to have gone to the dogs, who always make great drinking buddies, right? We also have some non-dog shots for all of you cat people out there! If you would like a chance to be featured be sure to tag @porchdrinkingco in your photos each week!

Ah, Wes Anderson. One of today’s most sought after millennial cult following movie directors out there. With so many great classics, sadly this 6er does not include every movie of his with a pairing, but if you’re going to have a movie marathon make sure to also check out Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr. Fox!
This playlist is full of songs with beer names, or is it beers with song names?! Either way, some of the beers included in the list are actually named for the song of their same likeness but others are just coincidence!

Mid-winter is an interesting time for beer. When February temperatures are reaching near 70 degrees each day in Denver I never seem to know what I am in the mood to drink. Not yet warm enough for summer styles, yet too warm for dark heavy winter styles. Recent travels to Kansas concluded with my husband and I taking a large box of Kansas beer home across state lines back to Colorado. Thrasher Session IPA was one of these beers (well, really a whole 6 pack of them) and it seemed like the perfect beer to showcase for an early Springtime sipper!
Fort Collins Brewery & Tavern has recently announced that they will soon begin canning and plan to release new recipe batches. Along with this news came another announcement about a fresh new re-brand.

Have you been binge watching Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle like I have? If you haven’t been, you’re missing a great show about the New York Symphony and their quirky Maestro played by Gael García Bernal. I have never been one for listening to very much classical music but the show is making me want to turn the page to a new musical chapter in my life! To make the transition, I have put together a playlist that is Classical-inspired covers of some of our favorite and well known rock, indie, and folk bands from the past 50-ish years with a little bit of Bob Dylan, Beck, Sigur Rós, the Beatles, Arcade Fire and Radiohead, just to name a few. Heck, it may make you want to start playing the cello or piano!

Jester King Brewery is one of those American breweries that always seems to be making big waves in the beer world. Their unique spins on Belgian and wild styles and their limited availability makes them always in hidemand for die hard fans. Thankfully, I was in Austin, Texas for the first time this past summer and was able to finally try them out in person at their stunning ranch-like brewery and tasting room. On the toasty summer day that it was, I sampled Bière de Miel for the first time and decided to bring a bottle back home with me.

This is one of my favorite times of year. Especially because I have an excuse to bake up a storm of Christmas cookies and sweets. So why not punch up your treats with some Christmas Cookie and Beer pairings? Who needs Christmas whiskey when you have winter beers? But don’t worry, if you aren’t a big baker or candy maker, there are a couple of store bought options for you to pair that beer with as well.
