Josh Ritenour

Born and bred in the great state of O-H-I-O, Josh grew up like most Midwesterners: drinking macro beer and having a sudden urge to move away. It was only during his move down South that he discovered craft beer. Ironically, it was Bell’s Two Hearted Ale, brewed a little over 100 miles north of his hometown. Since then his palate has matured into a love of everything sour and barrel-aged. His favorite beercation spots are Asheville, NC, Denver, CO and Grand Rapids, MI.

Today begins the long-awaited release of Founders Brewing’s Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) across a 46-state footprint. Untappd Reveals Top Beers of Summer 2017

September 29, 2017 |

Whether or not you use Untappd as a personal journal or to brag to your friends that you’ve just tried Duck Duck Gooze, there’s really no argument that it remains one of the best beer apps out there. The ability to browse tap lists or track down the latest juice bomb that just dropped in your city, the app has come a long way. After a merger with Next Glass, a wine and beer identification and recommendation app, Untappd co-founders Tim Mather and Greg Avola were then able to “transition into full time roles within Untappd as well as hire on more staff to speed up our feature development and make the platform even better for the community.”

Georgia Breweries Celebrate Their Liberation Aug. 31 – Sept. 1, 2017

August 15, 2017 |

If you’re a craft beer lover, you’ve probably never thought twice about ordering a beer at your favorite brewery. That’s because you don’t live in the state of Georgia. Currently, the only way to enjoy a fresh one at a brewery in this state is to purchase a tour, exchange tickets or tokens, jump through flaming hoops, perform backflips and recite the alphabet backward (well, those first two things at least). All that nonsense is about to change.
