Melissa Viviane Jefferson was born April 27th 1988. Almost 31 years to that date, she would drop her 3rd studio album, “Cuz I Love You” under her stage name of Lizzo. The album is a beautiful and fun ode to womanhood. She has willingly and knowingly set America up for a summer of putting her record on repeat. Since her first album in 2013, Lizzo has been putting out feminist, body-positive songs that make you feel in her own words “Good As Hell”. Her songs scream female-empowerment; and we are here for it.

2019 Tampa Bay Beer Week | Foeder for Thought

2019 marks the sixth year that Green Bench Brewing Company held Foeder for Thought, a craft beer festival centered around fermentation-forward beers and beer education. Brewers assembled from around the nation to Green Bench, and bring their funky, sour, wild, rustic, and all-around amazing beers with them to pour at the event. Some participated in panel discussions, led by Michael Kiser and the team over at Good Beer Hunting, bringing insight into the brewing world and educating the consumers about all things funky and Foeder. It continues to be one of the most highly-anticipated events during Tampa Bay Beer Week.

I may or may not have watched Beyoncé’s Coachella performance that premiered on Netflix multiple times. I can’t help it, she was incredible. The band and dancers were unbelievable. Track 7 Brewing, located in Sacramento, CA, has been producing a wide range of killer craft beers since they opened in 2011. For those who don’t know, the name Track 7 was selected due to the brewery’s proximity to the old Western Pacific railroad tracks, west of Curtis Park, as a nod to the integral role the railroad has played in the city’s rich history. One thing that keeps Track 7 relevant, aside from quality, is their ambition to try new styles and work with flavors that you don’t often see from other breweries. Track 7 typically releases two cans every weekend so there is no shortage of new things to try.

This facility, with its bucolic beer garden that offers scenic sights of Rocky Mountains to the west and Denver’s skyline to the east, was certainly built with those who wander outside in mind.

Miguel Rivas is the international man of beerstery. In 2013, his photography hobby morphed while visiting the Trappist Abbeys in Belgium. Capturing the sights sparked an artistic outlet for the stay-at-home father of two. Photography is a passion for Rivas, so it was clear to combine his thirst for taking pictures with his love for beer. Since then, Rivas successfully branded himself as The BeerTrekker and passing the five-year mark, his project is strong and still growing.
