The Craft Brewers Conference returns to Denver September 9-12 at the Colorado Convention Center. Whether you’re lucky enough to attend the event this year or not, there are still plenty of new beer releases and events centered around CBC that will be taking place. So while you’re out this weekend, grab a pint or two at some of your favorite breweries, and take home some limited releases at the same time.

Going into the last weekend in August means two big events are coming up quickly–plans for your awesome Labor Day BBQ and college football kicking off the 2021 season! So, whether you’re throwing a party for Labor Day, or you’re tailgating at that first football game, make sure to check out all of the new beer choices to help keep you cool and refreshed.
Peak View Brewing | Tiramisu Stout

Peak View Brewing in Greenwood Village, Colorado, was founded just two years ago, but the ideas of this brewery have a longer history. The founders, Sean Peters and Justen Coulfal, not only share a history of military service, but also a love of craft beer. Their shared dream of opening a brewery has been realized with a large variety of beers on tap to offer to their customers. They have also collaborated with other local businesses to expand their offerings. After creating one award winning beer with Branch & Barrel Distillery, Peak View Brewing was excited to collaborate again. “Their vision for complex and innovative whiskey matches our vision creating experimental and unique flavored brews,” explains Peters.

Revolution Brewing Announces 2021-2022 Deep Wood Lineup

It seems as if Revolution Brewing’s Deep Wood release in July was a tease for the announcement of the full 2021-2022 lineup that happened less than a week later. In typical Revolution fashion, the releases will happen once a month staring in October and concluding in January.

With the MLB All-Star Game festivities having been in Denver the past few days, we’ve gotten to see a substantial amount of traffic going through our local breweries, as baseball fans flocked to Denver. We even had some breweries creating some baseball-themed beers, like Denver Beer Co., which released Big League Sticky since we last talked. Let’s keep the fun going this weekend by showing some love to your favorite local breweries!

Be careful though, I like fireworks as much as the next person, but you don’t want to be that guy that ends up starting a wildfire. So get out there this weekend and have some fun, without burning down the state, that is.

With the state opening up more heavily this week, more and more new releases are trickling out. One thing to keep in mind while you’re going out in search of a new beer or two for this weekend is what each brewery’s policy is on wearing masks. Don’t disrespect the staff members if you don’t agree with the policy that the brewery has implemented.
If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, the perfect time might be this weekend. WeldWerks is hosting a walk-up clinic on the 22nd from 1pm – 5:30pm, with every participant receiving a free pint, and a limited edition can of “I Got Vaccinated”. Already been vaccinated, but want to get a free can of “I Got Vaccinated”? Just bring your vaccination card into the brewery starting on the 22nd to pick up a can for yourself too!

New Image Brewing | Five for Freezing Imperial Stout

As part of their five-year anniversary series, New Image Brewing tackles the complicated science of fractional freezing with their new Imperial Stout, Five for Freezing. Typically, frozen beer is a travesty. There’s nothing quite as disheartening as cracking open the beer you crave, only to find that it’s morphed into a slushie mess or worse, discovering that a bottle left to chill in the freezer exploded like a Peep in the microwave. However, freezing beer before it’s packaged, is actually an old-world technique that yields some highly desirable results.
