Deschutes Brewery – Chainbreaker White IPA
September 11, 2012 | Tristan ChanOne of the most important factors to consider when searching for a new home, or at least somewhere new to live, is the availability of a quality neighborhood bar. Seriously, forget the school district and don’t pull your hair out over the distance to the nearest grocery store. It’s all about whether your neighborhood bar has:
- A solid beer collection
- A great staff/great service
- Reasonable prices
- Great atmosphere
- Solid food
- Is close by
- Non-douchey clientele. Read More
Beervana: Portland, OR (Part 2)
September 12, 2012 | Scott HoffmanOregon Brewers Festival (OBF from here on out): So let’s first go over some of the logistics of OBF. As I said in my previous post, there were about 80 or so breweries present, and it’s all outdoors. Unlike other beer fests, you also choose how much beer you get at each booth. The Complete PorchDrinking 2022 GABF Week Events Guide

With over a week jam-packed full of events, it can be a bit hard to navigate. Luckily we’re here to help sort through it all with the return of our 2022 GABF Week Events Guide.

2 Days, 2 Nights | Chaffee County, Colorado Winter Edition
November 1, 2017 | Sue BjorkmanAt first, this seemed so easy. Just write about the best things to do, see, experience, eat and drink in Chaffee County. But here’s the problem: It’s only for 2 days and 2 nights. Being in and around Salida and Buena Vista brings on that kid-in-the-candy store feeling. Except in terms of outdoorsy adventures. I want it all! So, I’ll steer you to a few of my favorite things, then it’s up to you to see where it all leads.

Ultimate 6er | Beer And Voodoo Doughnut Pairing
December 21, 2015 | Brady Akers
Treat Yo’self Day is an amazing concept bestowed upon all humanity thanks to Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle on Parks & Recreation. Treat Yo’self is not a holiday (officially) or birthday occurrence; it is just a normal day where you throw caution to the wind and indulge in any and all material pleasures you like. In honor of this concept, I decided to Treat My’self by combining two of my all time favorite things into a Craft Beer and Voodoo Doughnuts Pairing.
Deschutes Brewery | Foray Belgian Style IPA
June 4, 2015 | Chris DayABV: 6.4%
IBU: 60
In a time when one out of every five craft beers sold in America is an IPA, it can be difficult to muster enthusiasm for yet another bottle containing something hoppy and golden. No? You’re still interested? Busted…me too. As much as I love other styles, when facing a beer menu, my eyes always wander towards the IPAs first. Perhaps it’s the promise of drinking an old favorite or maybe it’s the chance of seeing something new and intriguing. While still thriving, single and double IPAs find themselves sharing shelf space with triple IPAs, white IPAs, black IPAs, sour IPAs, and even Belgian-style IPAs. Read More
