The Craft Brewers Conference returns to Denver September 9-12 at the Colorado Convention Center. Whether you’re lucky enough to attend the event this year or not, there are still plenty of new beer releases and events centered around CBC that will be taking place. The Craft Brewers Conference is back! Returning to Denver, CO this year, CBC will be held from September 9 through September 12 at the Colorado Convention Center. Touted as America’s Largest Craft Brewing Industry Gathering, this event is an annual show that travels to different cities each year. It serves both on-premise breweries and packaging breweries and is a great way to meet other craft beer industry professionals.

Recently, I was able to leave the Midwest for the first time in 15 months and head on over to Denver. Considering the last time I went, I hit up 11 breweries in two and a half days, I was looking forward to seeing what damage I could do in five and a half. While it was difficult, I whittled six of my favorite beers from six of the breweries I visited during my trip!

Nearly two months after announcing the return of the WeldWerks Invitational, WeldWerks Brewing Company has the details we really need: which breweries are going, and when do tickets go on sale?
While national protocols are still far from established, WeldWerks took the past couple months to iron out some of the finer details related to the pandemic in addition to developing a code of conduct for attendees. The latter came in response to Brienne Allan’s recent movement to expose sexism, misogyny, and harassment within the industry, and WeldWerks, which was not named, decided to take the proactive approach to ensure a safe festival-going experience.

With the state opening up more heavily this week, more and more new releases are trickling out. One thing to keep in mind while you’re going out in search of a new beer or two for this weekend is what each brewery’s policy is on wearing masks. Don’t disrespect the staff members if you don’t agree with the policy that the brewery has implemented.
If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, the perfect time might be this weekend. WeldWerks is hosting a walk-up clinic on the 22nd from 1pm – 5:30pm, with every participant receiving a free pint, and a limited edition can of “I Got Vaccinated”. Already been vaccinated, but want to get a free can of “I Got Vaccinated”? Just bring your vaccination card into the brewery starting on the 22nd to pick up a can for yourself too!
