New Belgium Brewing & Colorado State University Team Up to Help Family in Need
On Thursday, October 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. friends, family, and Fort Collins community members will come together to raise money for a CSU Ram family in need. Hosted by New Belgium Brewing and Colorado State University at the New Belgium Porch at CSU’s football stadium, this Thursday’s “Happy Hour on the Porch” will be donated to CSU Associate Athletic Director Doug Max and his family who suffered a devastating loss recently when a fire heavily damaged their home and took the life of their daughter Rachel. “New Belgium continues to find ways to make a difference in our community,” said Joe Parker, Director of Athletics via New Belgium’s press release. “They felt compelled to help Doug and his family in a significant moment of need and we are thankful for their support.”
This Thursday, $4 from every pint of beer sold will be donated to the Max family. In addition to donating a portion of beer sales, select items including a New Belgium bicycle, will be raffled off. Here at PorchDrinking we are saddened by this unimaginable loss to the Fort Collins community but we feel encouraged by the craft beer and athletic community coming together to support a family in need. So clear your evening plans on the 26th, and buy a couple of pints at CSU’s New Belgium Porch for a good cause.
