PorchDrinking Playlist | 2 Row Brewing
Utah’s own 2 Row Brewing just released two highly anticipated beverages to the eager public. The first is a follow up to their recently heralded venture into the hazy IPA game. The second is possibly the highest ABV beer made in our state by a production brewery.
We arrived an hour early despite one of the largest snow storms of the season. Although being first in line for their Barrel-Aged Dark Alley was a plus, it wasn’t our only mission. We also wanted to snap some photos of the brewers for 2 Row, Brian Coleman and Clay Turnbow, and get some insight into what helps these two brew the beers many locals believe rule the neighborhood IPA competition.
As we entered the brewery, we were greeted by Brian, who seldom is seen without an inviting smile. With their beer release in under an hour, we knew things were about to get hoppin’. We offered ourselves up as free labor and asked where we could help. Almost immediately he put us to work, vacuuming, shoveling and hauling cases of the prized beer from the cold case. We know this is going to be a great day. As a happy accident, we became part of the real work involved in a beer release. All the while, we can hear Metallica and Ozzy blaring from the back of the brew house.
Here is the playlist that puts 2 Row Brewing either on to the hopway to heaven or the hopway to hell.
