We owe quite a bit of gratitude to our friends across the pond. To quote Hugh Grant in Love Actually, England “may be a small country, but a great one. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, the Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter and David Beckham’s right foot”. England’s influence takes many forms; for one, the English are responsible for pioneering many brewing techniques, such as ales, stouts, porters and (my favorite), India Pale Ales. In addition to a great taste for culture (and beer), British rock and pop music has inspired Americans for many years. With that, this playlist pays homage to our English forefathers, as it is comprised of a new wave of indie artists that are “Brit-ISH” in origin.
