What We're Drinking
Justin Pennel

While life has been different for most people these last couple months, one thing that remains the same is our love for craft beer. I’m personally thankful that breweries are continuing to produce delicious and innovate beers during these wild times. The writers on our team are continuing to savor the best liquid gold that we can get our hands on and I can assure you, it’s all highly delectable. This is What We’re Drinking.

Radio Free Pils | Wild Onion Brewery

Herkules | Schilling Beer Co.

Zymopunk Pilsner | By All Means Brew Lab

Disco Dancer | Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co.

Demon Rouge | Pisgah Brewing

Snarf Snarf | Revision Brewing

Double Dark Farmhouse #2 | Soquel Fermentation Project

My 2020 New Years resolution was to push myself out of my comfort zone, so I decided to take a burlesque class. Needless to say, I feel in love! I was in the middle of the level two class when the shelter-in-place started in the Bay Area, and last Thursday would have been the premiere of my act, so to speak. It seems like yesterday and forever ago at the same time. Hoping I can introduce Talulah Castor when this is all over. In the meantime I am trying my hand at making my own pasties, SO MANY RHINESTONES! My fingers my have been covered in glue but didn’t stop the deliciousness of this Double Dark Farmhouse Ale from @soquelfermentationproject. Tart, slightly smoky, and a beautiful dark fruit character.
