I hope you all had a wonderful turkey day and have thoroughly recovered from the food coma. I’ve been spending my week entering a new career phase and new company. Leaves fall, seasons change and our team is spending their fall evenings digging into some tasty brews. Kindle a fire, throw on a blanket and get ready to see What We’re Drinking.
I hadn’t done much research on what to expect before I tried Creature Comforts Brewing Company’s Athena Paradiso, so color me surprised when I poured it out and it was a deep red color. (Color me surprised – get it? Haha. Seriously guys. Funny stuff). Paradiso is a fruit treated version of Athena, Creature Comforts year-round Berliner weisse, brewed with tart cherries, raspberries and cranberries. I don’t know if it’s just because of the proximity to the day, but this beer definitely tasted just like Valentine’s Day – a little sweet and a little sour. I guess it’s something to try when you’re not quite sure what you’re in the mood for.
