Cooking With Beer | Stuffed Burgers made with Dogfish Head Namaste White
June 15, 2017 | Samantha StoryThere is a bar in Philadelphia that makes the most amazing burgers. Good Dog Bar has a burger called ‘Good Dog’. This is a juicy 1/2 lb.of meat, where every salty bite is filled with gooey Roquefort cheese is then topped with fried onions. Am I making you hungry yet? Since I don’t live within a reasonable distance of Good Dog Bar to obtain one of these tasty morsels regularly (which is probably a good thing), I decided to recreate this burger with my own twist: beer. Instinct told me to go with a darker selection, but I defied my better senses and went with a surprisingly delicious choice.
Sixpoint for Bill’s Burger | Bill’s Brew ESB
February 18, 2015 | Carly Mento
When it comes to ingestion, there are no two substances I love more together than craft beer and red meat. This is the sole reason I am known by the servers at Bill’s Burger in the Meatpacking District on a first name basis. Whenever I am within walking distance of the joint, my feet involuntarily turn and pace straight towards the front door, stopping only by the contentment of being seated at a high top table, adorned with it’s infamous red and white checked table cloth atop.
Cooking with Beer | The Great American Beer Burger
October 2, 2014 | Chelsea Mitchell 2Since the Great American Beer Festival is approaching, I decided to post the ultimate Cooking with Beer recipe: the Great American Beer Burger. To properly honor the most epic festival of all time, I knew I had to come up a downright mind-blowing creation and I knew it had to be loaded with beer. I figured nothing is more American than a good ol’ fashioned burger topped with about 1000 calories of ingredients – so I made this dream a reality. A whopping total of six different beers are used to create this monster of a meal plus whatever brews you decide to drink. If you make this thing, you’ll be so impressed with yourself for actually putting it all together, even if you don’t manage to fit it all in your belly. Hell, I’ll be impressed that you actually had to balls to try. If you’re on the fence and can’t decide, just think of this: Why settle for just one recipe with beer when you can combine them all?
