Tour Tasters | Paper Bird at Elevation Beer Company

Tour Tasters PorchDrinking

While craft beer has always been the focal point on PorchDrinking, no porch drink would be complete without the perfect soundtrack to accompany those stellar beers. Over the past two years we’ve brought you a number of sound tracks, artists to watch for, and music festival coverage because we love music almost as much as we love beer.

Paper Bird Elevation Beer Co Tour Tasters

Today we bring you the second installment of our Tour Tasters series, which marries both of those two passions in beer and music. Tour Tasters connects some of our favorite up-and-coming artists who are touring across the country, with some of our favorite breweries. Our first installment featured Run River North at Avery Brewing Company last July.

This second installment features Paper Bird out of Denver, CO who joined us down in Poncha Springs at Elevation Beer Company prior to their performance as part of the Mumford and Sons Gentleman of the Road Salida Stopover. After touring the brewery and tasting a few brews with head brewer and co-founders Christian Koch, Xandy & Sheila Bustamante, we were lucky enough to record a few songs with Paper Bird, the first of which appears below.

Paper Bird is working on releasing their next album and in preparation for that release, will be performing at Ivywild School in Colorado Springs on Friday, November 20. Tickets are now available! We’ll be releasing more from this session in the coming weeks!

A big thank you to Paper Bird, Elevation Beer Company, Illegal Pete’s, and In the Shed Media for making this possible.
