Not many people have had a more storied history in Colorado craft beer as Marty Jones. He’s the brains behind such iconic slogans as Great Divide’s “Great Minds Drink Alike”, Oskar Blues’ “Canned Beer Apocalypse” and New Belgium’s “Contents Under Pleasure”. Along that same vein, Marty was also one of the early pioneers advocating for the practice of canning craft beer both at Oskar Blues and later at Wynkoop Brewing.

We sat down to chat with Marty Jones about his iconic role in Colorado craft as well as preview the upcoming Parade of Darks taking place this Saturday from 1-4:30 at the Turnhalle Room in the Tivoli Student Union building on the Auraria college campus. Tickets are still available for Saturday’s event benefiting Metro Caring’s hunger prevention efforts.
