When it comes to beer stats, there’s only one guy you can truly trust. His name is Bart Watson, and he’s the Chief Economist at the Brewers Association. Bart has been tracking new brewery openings, monitoring breweries per capita, keeping a steady watch on job growth spurred by the industry, and in the smallest slivers of free time he is a monster on the frisbee field.

My co-host Jesse Brookstein and I sat down with Bart to talk about industry trends, how one goes about becoming the Chief Economist of the Brewers Association, and also how playing Ultimate Frisbee might better your chances at scoring a gig with the Brewers Association, or perhaps not.
