To the delight of my taste buds and indignation of my waistline, I’ve recently discovered that for whatever reason, fall appears to be synonymous with baking. An endless stream of buttery, sugary goodies has been churning out of my neighbor’s …
I’ve spent a solid part of summer scampering along trails in search of that mountain magic. Although it’s hard to beat the au naturel soundtrack that only the great outdoors can provide, I’m also complete sucker for pairing tunes with trails (and of course, a tasty beer at the top).
Summer is officially here which means that the sky is out, thighs are out and dad bods draped in RompHims have officially taken up residence at the grill. As Ron Swanson once pointed out, “since mankind first set meat atop fire, it has been perfect.” If you too share this sentiment and are hoping to take your flame game up a notch this holiday weekend, you’ve come to the right par-tay.
How has 2017 been treating you so far? I think it has been a pretty rockin’ year. I fully expected 2017 to commence in a far more miserable fashion judging by the speed at which people determinedly blotted out the remainder of 2016 with an impressively steady flow of champagne. To my (personal) pleasant surprise, even the hangovers in 2017 appear to have resolutions which I’m convinced have something to do with showing a little bit of mercy.

It’s almost time to thaw yourself out from the dark depths of winter and spring ahead to the synths and sunshine of the futuuuure! From what I’ve heard, the future is filled with all things groovy, galactic and…totally tubular? You heard right! The 80’s are working their righteous way back into our ears with a retro-futuristic fusion of neon noir.
Now that winter is upon us, the days have gotten progressively shorter and the darkness of the season has followed suit. For me, this often means facing the daily morning struggle of willing myself out of bed to face a chilly ‘day’ that resembles something far more akin to the middle of the night.
Happy fall, y’all! The weather has finally taken a turn for the chilly and pumpkin spice flavored everything has made its return to basic greatness. We’re here to spice up the cozy months ahead with yet another seasonal stockpile of sounds that are old, new and pumpkin optional.
Bout that time again folks, the season of spook is upon us! Ghosts are waiting to be busted and basic witches near and far are happily sipping on their nonfat pumpkin spice lattes in between capturing the ultimate fall foliage selfies.
As I approached mile 3,000 on my seemingly never ending cross-county road trip, the novelty of bumping to an infinite playlist of my favorite sounds had sadly worn off. Just as mesmerizing mountains gave way to an endless expanse of less than captivating flatness, my treasured playlist suddenly found itself back to ‘Track 1’ … for about the 20th time. I quickly realized two things: one, that I had zero cell service and two, that I had made a huge rookie mistake in thinking that I could solely rely on a single playlist, no matter how fantastic, to get me across the country.
This playlist is dedicated to the sun-kissed skin, beer-filled bellies and music-fed ears of summer! With the help of countless barbecues and beach brews, we’ve had the opportunity to bulk up our seasonal stockpile of sounds. We’ve pulled together a collection of musical discoveries featuring tracks that have caught our ears while soaking up the best of all things under the sun.
Endless summers have earned their nicknames for a reason; with the persistence of light come late nights and early mornings. Despite the vibrancy of this eternal sunshine, I personally live for the hours when the sun makes way for the moon. There’s something enthralling about sinking back into the shadows to embrace the darker shades of sound. Go ahead and tuck yourself into the night as you explore this playlist, its artists, and their uniquely haunting arrays of work.
Get lost in the woods; you never know where you might find yourself. Here’s a playlist dedicated to those moments in time where you simply need to disappear and let the beauty of nature consume you. Whether you’re an avid outdoorsman …
We’ve all had to deal with pains of good ol’ traffic at one point or another. Whether your facing down a daily commute, or accidentally take the wrong exit only to inch your way through a bumper to bumper gridlock, we’ve created a playlist that will make your wait a bit more bearable. While you may not have control over the speed at which you lurch to your destination, you do have control over the amount of groove you pack into that time.
Here in Seattle, spring is often spent waiting out relentless February, March and April showers with the faint hope that May brings (anything but rain) flowers. Despite the bleak forecast, we’ve discovered that there are plenty of ways to enjoy the wet …

According to my allergies and the lovely layer of pollen on my porch, spring has almost sprung! To some, spring is an odd transitional season — the winter hibernation period is over, yet summer is barely out …
