PorchDrinking’s Weekly Denver Beer Beat | Oct 28, 2015
The Denver/Boulder area is getting a lot of attention from the GOP and it’s a lot like the “bread and circuses” era of the Roman Empire. I won’t tread into politics other than to say that I wish that the presidential candidates had to dress up for the week of Halloween. That would make things MUCH, MUCH more interesting. Amirite?!
Highlights for the week: Grand Opening of Little Machine Beer, Dry Dock releases their Double Coffee Porter, Wynkoop celebrates 27 years, the return of TRVE Brewing’s Dunwich Robust Porter, Mephistopheles is released by Avery Brewing, and then an onslaught of All Hallows Eve celebrations. My top pick?! Ratio Beerworks is hosting a Ramones cover band and then hosting a dance party. I will be there. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and chat with some of the PD crew.
I can’t wait to dress up and sip some suds in the RiNo Brewer’s District this weekend. Lots of Halloween/All Hallows Eve/Samhain celebrations are announced and we keep hearing about more. Really, that is what this week is shaping into. Like one big costume contest, dance party deal. I love it! I LOVE Halloween, so I am all about it. Read more about my love for all things Halloween in my recent Ultimate 6er.
