I write this next sentence sincerely: Weezer is one of the most divisive bands of our lifetimes. Two prevailing opinions dominate the discussion and show what kind of Weezer fan you are: the early stuff is the best, or Weezer is just hitting their stride. Whatever side you’re on, here is the definitive guide to what you should drink when enjoying Weezer.
As Chiefs fans continue to complain about officiating and Cowboys fans wait yet “another year,” it is time for the rest of the country to gear-up for the NFL Championship games. The Green Bay Packers take their cheese-loving selves to Atlanta to face the “Dirty Bird” Falcons while the Steelers will be waving their terrible towels at Gillette Stadium against the Patriots. To celebrate the championship games I have built the Ultimate 6er showcasing some of the best beers that represent these sports town cities. Included are two brews that will keep us looking forward to the Super Bowl and into next season.
Walking down the sidewalk last week with my son, we literally saw a squirrel with an acorn in his mouth. “He’s stocking up for the winter,” said the 12 year old. “How cool would it be to hibernate?” Wow. Hibernate. I could deal with that. Take off for a few months, do nothing but sleep, eat and drink beer. But the key to a successful hibernation is that you can’t go out. Actually I think that is the definition of hibernation.
We’re excited to announce that we partnered with Drink 314 and DrinkMoBeer.com to bring you this week’s St. Louis-themed Ultimate 6er! If you’ve been to St. Louis you know them as the home of the arch, mouth-watering BBQ, the loop, and – of course – the Cardinals. But this city is home to something else as well: Amazing beer that you need to try.
It’s summertime, and with summertime comes summer lovin’. There’s nothing like opening a nice, cold six-pack on a hot summer day. Let’s say you’re in charge of buying a six-pack for a first date. What would you bring to impress the girl/guy?
Have you ever found yourself agonizing over choosing between two beers? In some cases, the best solution is do get both and mix them. Perhaps you have heard of a Black and Tan ( Stout & Pale Ale), a Snake Bite (Stout or Lager with Hard Cider), or a Black and Blue (Stout & Wheat (Blue Moon)). Most people associate these mixed beer drinks with Guinness + ____ , but there are some other great mixed beer variations out there. I propose to you this ultimate mixed beer 6er!
I recently decided to buy only craft beer, but sometimes I still get in the mood for something yellow, bubbly and light in alcohol. If you’re trying to kick PBR for a better option, try some beers that always work for me. Here is my Ultimate 6er for the Macro Convert.
