The self-described nanobrewery Evil Twin Brewing turns out an incredibly wide range of styles and creative takes on familiar styles that make them truly unique. Most of the creations from Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso’s five-year-old NYC brewery marry a blend of fruits with a traditional style to accentuate and build on the flavors you might expect. Some of them are extremely fruit forward and even go as far as to remind the drinker of a fruit smoothie.
“Atomic” mylkshake sours are what happen when a brewery gets tipsy off their own supply and sparked up with inspiration. Rake Beer Project’s new Raspberry Mylk takes creative license from their Imperial Milk Stouts juxtaposed with their flagship line of popular, ever-rotating smoothie-style Joose beers to devise a high-ABV, heavily-fruited hybrid.
Newgrass Brewing opened its doors in July 2015 in the quaint town of Shelby, NC. They are located between Charlotte and Asheville, just off of Highway 74, making it a convenient stop when traveling between the two cities.
