As beer-drinkers increasingly long for festivals and celebrations to return, Purpose Brewing and Cellars seems to have found a way to throw a great party that’s both fun and safe. Purpose, located in Fort Collins, CO. celebrated their third anniversary on Aug. 1 with many of the usual features including music, special releases and an outdoor beer garden, along with pandemic-inspired additions like masks, hand sanitizer and social distancing.

Odell Small Batch Festival 2018 Review: Something Old, Something New

Odell Brewing, home to the (unofficial) official Best Patio of Fort Collins, hosted its Small Batch Festival on May 26. Not many breweries can pull off a festival consisting entirely of their own brews, but the prolific Odell successfully produced a beer lineup consisting of old favorites and some brand new blends.

For $35, patrons received two 12oz pours (8oz for high ABV brews ), a stainless steel cup and 60+ beer options. This party isn’t new—Odell has hosted this festival a handful of times in the past decade—and in the late May summer sun, the Small Batch Festival definitely felt like a familiar get-together. Beginning today, Colorado institution Illegal Pete’s will host a series of tappings of Illegally Blonde, an exclusive collaboration beer brewed in Fort Collins with Odell Brewing Company. Over the next week, it will be released at all seven Illegal Pete restaurants in Boulder, Fort Collins, and Denver. And word on the street is that this will also be available at Red Rocks for Illegal Pete’s 20th Anniversary Party featuring Lucero, Built to Spill and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats!
