Black Friday Eve Release @ Wiley Roots Brewing Company (Greeley) – 625 3rd St., Greeley, Colorado
Date/ Time: Thursday, November 28, from 10:00 p.m. –2:00 a.m.
Details: Midnight has a surprise for you 😸
Back in 2015, we released Midnight on the Run, a beer named after a song by Boombox (bit.ly/midnightontherun), that was an imperial version of Deep Roots, our classic Robust American Porter brewed with a heavy addition of chocolate malt. People loved it.
In late 2016, after much debate about getting a brewery cat, a very thin, very young, black feral cat wandered up to Kyle’s parents farm just east of Greeley. From the moment Kyle and Miranda saw her, they knew that she would be a permanent fixture in the brewery family. It was only appropriate then, that her name should be an adaptation from one of our beers. Which is why Midnight was named after Midnight on the Run.
In 2017, we re-released Midnight on the Run with coffee, as Midnight on the Run in the Morning; with vanilla, as Midnight on the Run Vanilla Sky; and barrel aged, as Colorado Whiskey barrel aged Midnight on the Run. All of those beers were very popular. Since then, we have had numerous customers ask if Midnight on the Run would return.
This year, after much thought and contemplation, we decided that it would only be right that before we re-release Midnight on the Run, we should rebrand it after her and tweak the recipe by making it a bigger, thicker, and chewier stout with even more chocolate than the original and release it on the darkest night of the year, at midnight, along with a very special barrel aged beer.
Midnight on the Run is an Imperial Stout brewed with chocolate malt, organic cocoa powder, TCHO Ghanaian Cocoa Nibs, and all natural pure chocolate extract. It is a thick, dark, heavy stout packed with four different kinds of chocolate with no milk sugar. It is rich but not overly sweet, and balanced with dark bitter chocolate and sweet chocolate to create a perfect after Thanksgiving dessert.
Du Hast Cake is a Bourbon barrel aged German Chocolate Cake Imperial Stout, brewed with Bottle Logic Brewing Company, with cacao husk and coconut powder, then aged in Tennessee Bourbon whiskey barrels for 15 months with 12 lbs per barrel of toasted coconut and ½ lb per barrel of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla beans. It is viscous, creamy, and full of sweet coconut and rich chocolate that is complemented by a big bourbon barrel finish. It is ridiculous, we could not be happier with this beer.
Today we’re excited to finally announce details for our Black Friday beer release. Starting on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 10:00pm (yes at night), we are releasing 50 limited edition Black Friday box sets to the first 50 people in line, each of which contains the following:
• 1x Black Friday handmade wooden box (only 50 made)
• 1x Midnight on the Run signed single can (16oz can)
• 1x Barrel Aged Du Hast Cake signed single can (12oz can)
• 1x Midnight on the Run pour on-site (4oz pour)
• 1x Barrel Aged Du Hast Cake pour on-site (4oz pour)
• 1x four-pack of Midnight on the Run (16oz cans)
• 1x four-pack of Barrel Aged Du Hast Cake (12oz cans)
𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓: $𝟏𝟎𝟎
As an added plus, the first 50 people will have the opportunity to purchase our brand new Midnight glasses, Midnight shirts, and will be the first to be able to try our other Black Friday releases on-site with cans available to-go, including one additional four-pack of Du Hast Cake.
Then on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 12:00pm (day time), we will be releasing all of the remaining beer and merchandise, first come first served.

It’s Liquid Mechanics Black Friday @ Liquid Mechanics Brewing Company (Lafayette) – 297 N. Hwy 287 Suite 100, Lafayette, Colorado
Date/ Time: Friday, November 29, from 1:00 –11:00 p.m.
Details: Liquid Mechanics Community. It’s been a hot minute since we had a barrel aged beer bottle release.
The thing about barrel aging beers is that we can’t predict when each wood barrel will be ready. Each barrel is it’s own unique microcosm. You can put the same base beer into two bourbon barrels from the same company, using the same process, and each barrel will present itself slightly differently. It might take a year for a beer to taste the way we want it to, or two years, or we might decide to dump the beer down the drain. It’s tricky running our barrel program the way we want to run our barrel program. What we can say is that our expectations of ourselves have evolved over the years, and your expectations of us have evolved over the years. We embrace that and are continually excited about that challenge.
We are happy to announce that a portion of the 40 barrels on site have spoken to us, and we found a spectacular blend that we are proud to put the Liquid Mechanics labels on. It’s time. While this release is only the first of a few that will occur over the next two months, here’s what we have in store for Black Friday.

Cerberus X Chiba Collab and Small Business Sunday @ Cerberus Brewing Co. (Colorado Springs) – 702 W Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado
Date/ Time: Sunday December 1, from 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
Details: You’ve drank Hero Protagonist, but every hero deserves a villain. We are excited to introduce our newest collaboration with Chiba Bar: Villain Antagonist Oyster Stout. Yes, you read that right. OYSTERS IN A BEER.
First, let’s talk about the beer:
Historically, brewers needed a clarifying agent to gather particles together and drop to the bottom. Some breweries still use isinglass, or fish bladders, to this day, but oysters work just as well. Modern oyster stouts have strayed from the clarifying purpose, and oysters are added primarily for flavor.
Villain Antagonist Oyster Stout was brewed with oyster flour (from oyster shells). The gentle bitterness and sweet nature of a stout pairs nicely with the salty, briny oysters.
Hero Protagonist Brut Rice Kolsch with Yuzu has been a fan favorite since we made it the first time. This will be Hero’s third appearance on tap. Hero Protagonist is light, crisp, and citrusy. Our staff love to tell people that it is the craft beer version of a Bud Light Lime.

In keeping with the Bohemian spirit, Seedstock will be releasing its Bohemian Barn beer!
We brewed this beer with our Great, Great Grandpa Johann in mind. When he immigrated from what is now the Czech Republic and settled in Nebraska, one of the first things he did was set up a brewery in his barn. Our Bohemian Barn Beer is a beer that we imagine he might have brewed. It is brewed simply – using only Vienna malt and Saaz hops.
Our Bohemian Barn Beer is sunshine copper in color with an off-white head. It has a malty-sweet aroma, with a slight hint of melon. It gets its sweet and rich mouthfeel from the Vienna malt, but the Saaz hops really shine through with a spicy, peppery finish. We think our Great, Great Grandpa would nod in approval.
