What We’re Drinking | October 30, 2020

What We're Drinking
Justin Pennel

Tomorrow is Halloween, and like most of the holidays this year, it’s going to look a little different. The people who normally dread trick or treaters coming to their house will rejoice. They finally have a great excuse not to answer their door. Hopefully everyone else can find a safe, socially distanced, fun option for their Halloween this year. While you’re on our site, be sure to check out some of our Halloween-inspired articles. This is What We’re Drinking.

Rising Hope IPA | Level Crossing Brewing

#Homebrew Day Brew. Rising Hope IPA by Level Crossing Brewing (@levelcrossingbrewing) and a 70-degree day are great accompaniments to kick off the Holiday Beers Brewing Season (today’s batch is a re-brew of Old C-Dub, a wee heavy/Scotch Ale.) Earlier this month I wrote more about Rising Hope, which is a beer to benefit the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF), (@pediatriccancer). Visit https://utahbeernews.com/rising-hope-ipa-benefit-children-battling-cancer/ or tap the link in the bio to read more. Limited to one brewery per state, Rising Hope landed at Level Crossing — one of 34 breweries nationwide to participate. 100% of proceeds go to the foundation. Ingredients were donated by @yakimachief @countrymalt @amoretti. I picked up a nice dose of raspberry in the aroma/flavor but the fruit wasn’t overpowering. Easy-sipping 6.5% IPA. Nice beer for a great cause! Pick some up at Level Crossing. Shout-out to @chris_detrick & @nolo801. . . . . . #craftbeer #brewingfundsthecure #fruitedipa #levelcrossingbrewing #instabeer #beersofinstagram #utahbeernews #allthenewsthatsfittodrink #craftbeerblog #craftbeerblogger #beerblog #beerblogger #utahcraftbeer #slccraftbeer #slcbrewery #utahbrewery #utahbeer #utahbeers #drinklocalbeer #drinkutah #drinkslc #utahbrewers #utahbrewersguild #stayinglevel #homebrewer #homebrewlife #homebrewingfans #homebrewing #lauterdaybrewers

Murder On Drury Lane: Caramel Brownie Edition | Bombastic Brewing

Murder On Drury Lane: Caramel Brownie Edition seems like an appropriate beer with Halloween just a few days away. I thought this was a cool spot for a picture. This tree I came across was split right down the middle, which made for a perfect beer holder. Normally I’d think lightning did this, but there were no burn marks and nothing else around that could have disturbed it…spooky 💀 . . . . . #bombastic #murderondrurylane #caramelbrownie #imperialstout #contractbrewing #idahobeer #idahocraftbeer #beertography #spokanebeer #bombasticbrewing #coeurdalene #getoutside #craftbeer #beerhike #beerstagram #instabeer #nikon #35mm #exploremore #beeroftheday #beerculture #beeradventures #beerphotography
