Meanwhile Brewing Co. has one of the largest and most unique outdoor spaces in Texas. When Will Jaquiss, Meanwhile’s founder and brewmaster, was searching for a location in Austin, he wanted to find the biggest space possible.
“We wanted to focus on the taproom experience, first and foremost,” Jaquiss said.
Despite opening within the last year, Meanwhile has been able to offer plenty of customers a beautiful outdoor space in southeast Austin. The 3.7-acre property has a large stage for music, jungle gyms for kids and a soccer field. Although not everything has been usable in the last six months, they have plenty of ideas for the future.
Austin, Texas’ Jester King Brewery is many things to many people—it’s an esteemed farmhouse brewery, popular community gathering space, a bustling farm with pet goats and more. So, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced breweries across the nation to readjust their business models, the popular brewer was well-positioned to adjust in unique ways gives its business flexibility and available acres of Texas farmland. The result is Jester King Reimagined, a veritable Disney Land of Drinking that promises patrons several unique outdoor spaces to indulge in an array of Jester King’s tasty spontaneously-fermented and mixed culture beers, whilst also adhering to current CDC and social distancing protocols. Since opening May 29, the new outdoor drinking concept has been a hit with drinkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
A principal attribute of craft brewing involves the confluence of creativity and tradition. The summer ‘18 opening of the newest Tribes Beer Company location—a brewhouse, tasting room and beer garden—exemplifies that characteristic. Tribes draws on tradition while simultaneously adapting to an ever-evolving beer industry.
