Imbibe Events and The Lobby hosted an intimate evening featuring five breweries and restaurants from the Denver Bacon and Beer Festival. The Denver Bacon and Beer Brewer’s Dinner paired five chefs and five breweries for a meat filled evening that didn’t not disappoint. The Denver Bacon and Beer Brewer’s Dinner benefited Metro Caring and Project Angel Heart. Participating restaurants and breweries included Block & Larder, Euclid Hall, Second Home Kitchen + Bar, The Lobby, Max’s Wine Dive, Great Divide Brewing Company, Wit’s End Brewing Company, Call To Arms Brewing Company, Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, Spangalang Brewery and The Post Brewing Co.
Only into its second year of existence and Collaboration Fest shows its teeth and flexes its community-grown muscles. The Denver-based festival boasted lots of brewer cameos both near and far. Last year, in its infancy, the festival came together to celebrate the collaboration and/or cooperation that runs rampant in the craftbeer industry by showcasing beers made by multiple brewers from different breweries for this one of a kind festival. The festival accomplished this and so much more in year one. Fast forward to 2015, in an upgraded and more accommodating venue, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, we got to mill around and talk shop with many a brewer and imbiber alike to see just why this was one of the most anticipated festivals of the year in Denver.
We here at PorchDrinking.com believe in all of our libations being well-crafted, and this doesn’t fall short in the AM when we need a quick pick-me-up. Denver is seeing a resurgence of craft coffee and artisan roasters, and we aren’t the only ones taking note. So, it only makes sense that we are getting hella stoked on Denver’s upcoming caffeinated invitational, the Grand Coffee Bazaar. Our down-ass-homies over at Imbibe are throwing this first-of-its-kind event, promising deliciously roasted beans, brews carefully prepared from a variety of mechanisms and methods, brunch foods via food trucks, specialty coffee libations and craft beer.
