Spice Trade Brewing has undergone an incredible transformation since its unexpected beginnings as Yak and Yeti Brewpub, which grew as an extension of a Nepalese restaurant in Arvada, Colorado. The beer program, which opened in 2008, six years after the restaurant side, likely convinced many who came seeking authentic Nepalese fare to try a few delicious beers as well. This past spring the brewery opened its own location in the DTC, bringing much-needed variety to the area—and the tech nerds rejoiced!
With Halloween fast approaching, there’s nothing better than sharing some good old-fashioned ghost stories with a beer in-hand. From pesky ghosts that interfere with a beertender’s duties, to restroom peeping toms, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite haunted brewery establishments and bars. Housed in a 150 year old building in Arvada, CO, Spice Trade Brewing, what was formerly Yak & Yeti Brew Pub, has entered in its next evolutionary phase. After undergoing a re-branding, launching a series of new beers and hiring a new head brewer in Jeff Tyler, Spice Trade Brewing is now in search of a second production facility with plans to enter Denver’s competitive retail market.
