What We're Drinking

This week, the PorchDrinkers raised many a glass in honor of the United States’ 241st birthday. I mean, we would have drunk them all anyway, but I promise that we were all thinking about America as we poured them down our throats. Pinky swear! Beer is brewed in all 50 states and is sometimes the only thing that many of us have in common. Hoist a celebratory pint, finish reading NPR’s tweets of the Declaration of Independence, and check out What We’re Drinking!

DeLorean Dust | Alvarado Street Brewery

Blueberry Cobbler Ale | Funky Buddha Brewery

What We're Drinking
“The cinnamon aroma comes out first in this one, with a smooth flow in the flavor going blueberry, cinnamon, then finally a light vanilla sweetness in the mouth. Tasty and not too heavy in the Florida heat!” – Devin Caster

Red-Eye Cafe Ale | Savannah River Brewing Co.

What We're Drinking
“Smooth with a bite on the tongue and a subtly flirtatious coffee flavor on the back end for someone who drinks their coffee black. Malts and coffee on the nose rounds out a pleasant after work beer.” – John Pylant

Soft Parade | Short’s Brewing Co.

What We're Drinking
“Celebrating Independence day with independent brewing and independent baseball. Shorts soft parade at Traverse City Beach bums game.” – Danny King

Wings of the Eagle | 350 Brewing Co.

What We're drinking
“350 Brewing Wings of the Eagle Ultra Patriotic Double APA — 11% ABV. Hoppy, bitter, big, bad, bold. Tons of flavor in it. It’s how a big Hoppy beer should taste. If Benedict Arnold had It, he would have remained loyal to the USA.” – Mathew Powers

Battlewagon | Service Brewing Co.

What We're Drinking
“The perfect patriotic & local brew to enjoy on America Day. Full of pine and a slight touch of honey, Battlewagon is leading the way to independence!” – Danele Bova

TropiCannon | Heavy Seas

What We're Drinking
“Deliciously juicy! Intense citrus in the flavor and aroma with a hint of orange peel bitterness. Buy a six pack because one is not enough.” – Jose Minaya
