There’s plenty to watch at the 91st Academy Awards this Sunday. After controversy over old tweets, appointed Oscars host Kevin Hart dropped out, and the ceremony will not have a host. A Netflix film is nominated for Best Picture—NETFLIX! The guys who used to mail you DVDs might win Best Picture! And here at PorchDrinking, there’s a drinking game for the ceremony. Play along!
But before the ceremony begins, there’s some fun to watch on the red carpet! We’re bringing you Oscars BINGO for watching the (seemingly endless) hours of coverage of beautiful people showing up to celebrate each other. Who will the stars of Hollywood be wearing? What will the color of the year be? Will Spike Lee wear a hat? How much small talk about the freakishly cold LA weather this weekend will E! hosts be making with celebrities? Find out at your Oscars viewing party, as you play PorchDrinking Oscars BINGO during the Red Carpet with your friends!
This weekend, the stars will be out in Los Angeles to celebrate the 90th Academy Awards. The ceremony starts on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific). But starting at 5 p.m. Eastern (2 p.m. Pacific), E! will bring you all the red carpet coverage you could possibly want – and then probably another hour or two after you’ve had your fill.
This year’s red carpet coverage will be a bit different. Not just because the forecast in LA is calling for clouds and rain. There’s also the fact that E! has a couple scandals on its hands (Catt Sadler left the network over pay inequality, and Variety has reported on sexual misconduct allegations against red carpet host Ryan Seacrest.) And in the era of #TimesUp and #MeToo after the amazing reporting on Hollywood’s epidemic of sexual harassment and assault… there’a a lot more on people’s minds than who they’re wearing.
It’s time once again for PorchDrinking’s 2018 Super Bowl Bingo Cards for Super Bowl 52. In addition to the entertainment of seeing who can inhale the most combinations of cheese dips in one sitting, we’ve created bingo boards for your party-goers’ enjoyment. Each square should be crossed off as they occur. And sure since this is PorchDrinking, take a drink each time you cross off a square.
The 89th Academy Awards are this weekend! And to make the awards festivities a little more interesting, PorchDrinking.com brings you a set of 2017 Oscars Bingo Boards for your interactive drinking enjoyment.
The Presidential Debate on Monday, September 26 is maybe the most anticipated debate in your lifetime or mine. Expect massive ratings on TV. Anticipate hostility between the candidates on stage. Plan on a few major soundbites to play on cable news for days afterward. And overall, honestly, you can likely expect to be a bit bored by the end. Which is why PorchDrinking brings you Presidential debate Bingo!
PorchDrinking has the antidote to debate boredom and political bickering. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents can ALL play our Debate Bingo game. Whichever candidate you support, we’ve got the card for you (five for each candidate, to be exact). Enjoy competing with friends.
Every year our team comes together to bring you your ultimate Super Bowl Bingo cards for the big game. This year we brought the house once again, so turn up the volume during those commercials and watch carefully so that you can beat out grandma your own “big game”. Oh and consider the free space any time you hear Peyton yelling “OMAHA OMAHA!”
Scott cornered all the Academy Award classic moments for this set of Oscars Bingo cards. Everything from the weeping, barely discernible “I’d like the thank the Academy…” to Morgan Freeman’s booming voice makes an appearance.
All week we’ve had your complete Super Bowl coverage, featuring game previews, recipes, bingo boards, and do’s and don’ts for the game. Here’s a complete Super Bowl round up of our entire week of coverage just in case you missed anything from earlier. Enjoy tonight’s game, go (insert team you’re rooting for), have an awesome Sunday Funday and be safe out there.
Be sure to check out our updated bingo boards for this year’s big game between the Broncos and the Seahawks!
Earlier this week, Mike Zoller brought you downloadable bingo cards for the big game. However, if you aren’t really into football, chances are you’ll still be watching the Super Bowl, if only for the commercials. A lot of companies have already released info about their planned ad campaigns, and we’ve used that info along with trends from previous years to piece together a second set of bingo cards for this Sunday.
With the big game less than a week away there always seems to be so much more to talk about than a football game. The Super Bowl has people talking about commercials, celebrities, half time shows and the most unique and obscure bets a person can make.
You have your typical football bets on the actual game, but for the Super Bowl, bookies will take everything from how long the national anthem will take to sing to how many tweets will be sent about the game. Basically anything is fair game when it comes to the most watched sporting event of the year.
So at your Super Bowl you might participate in football squares or a variety of other betting games, one other popular one is Super Bowl Bingo. For those of you that want to play but don’t want to make your own board, PorchDrinking.com has created a great board for the game Sunday.
As I’ve noted before on PorchDrinking, there are many simple statements that can spark pop culture conversation and debate on your porch. But for us introverts out there, you can still sit back and wait for certain things to come …
