Lo Rez Brewing released Apricot Knockout in March, but the weather in Chicago is just warming up enough to dive into this farmhouse ale fermented with apricots. This beer rounds out Chicago’s Pilsen-based neighborhood brewery’s current four-pack offerings that put tartness in the forefront.
Solemn Oath Brewery represented Chicago at the very first Uppers and Downers in Pasadena, California in 2015. Since then, the festival has been held in Chicago and on March 30, the premier coffee beer festival put on by Good Beer Hunting returns to Thalia Hall.
Many in Chicago are familiar with Moody Tongue Brewery and its unique form of culinary brewing. Now, Chicagoans can taste brewmaster, and culinary-trained, Jared Rouben’s creations fresh from the tap. The Tasting Room (2136 S. Peoria St., Chicago) opened Friday, October 28 at 5:00 p.m.
The Brooklyn Brewery is traveling to nine cities across the globe to “feast, party, explore, and drink plenty of beer”. From August 11th–14th, Chicago will be home to Brooklyn for four days and four events. Thursday, Aug. 11th, Brewery Chef Andrew Gerson and Chef Danny Espinoza reunite at TWO, with Chef Kevin Cuddihee.
