The Weekly Buzz | GABF 2016 Edition

GABF 2016
Dan Bortz

The Great American Beer Festival was in Denver this weekend, and there were more tweets than you could shake a stick at. Without any further ado, let’s dive right into the beer, fun, and shenanigans. Welcome to The Weekly Buzz: GABF 2016 Edition.

This puts things into a little perspective!

Have you ever seen this many kegs in one place?!

The booths are under construction!

The floor is starting to look ready for the first session!

Things are getting underway at the DESTIHL booth!

Sounds like a balanced breakfast to me!

Good thing the fun police are on patrol!

Port City is unattended! Go! Go! Go!

Which brew would you want for the first pour?

Which one of them is the wizard?

Little known fact: Jim Koch is the Poet Laureate of GABF

Seems like too much exercise, but at least it’s for a good cause!

You need a solid base before sampling all those brews!

It’s not fun for everyone, so be kind to the locals.

Did you pack the signature neckwear of GABF?

Seems like my kind of rave!

That’s one pretty booth…

Which is why they won that awesome trophy!

We need our brewers healthy if we want them to keep making awesome beers!

Flix’s booth is like an old Hollywood movie house!

Follow those pipers!

This session is about to get poppin’!

This party is very respectful of the neighbors.

The awards ceremony is about to start. They all have their fingers crossed.

This change took everyone by surprise…

…Especially Fat Head’s, who thought they had won that category.

It would be a great decade, though!

Gold medals are SO last year!

You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.

Another successful year in the bag!

Looks like everyone had fun…

… and a bunch of guys kept it healthy!

Reactions from the Medalists
