Super 77 built Wiley Roots 🚜

It is the first beers we brewed and the first beer we tapped. It won our first Bronze medal in 2013, at our first Great American Beer Festival, and two years later, it won our first Gold medal. It is the first beer we bottled and the first beer we distributed.

Super 77 is the seed that allowed us to grow. It is the same base beer we use for Funk Yo Couch, Packed With Peaches, Geometry, TRYGonometry, and so many other beers. Its American Pale 2-Row, Honey Malt, and Malted Wheat hopped with Columbus and Willamette. Super 77 is a simple recipe, but it is uniquely our own. That is why we are excited to announce that it’s getting a new look and new package.

Starting Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12pm, we invite you to re-discover the beer that has defined us all these years with the release of Super 77 in 16 oz cans. Cans will not be distributed and are first come, first served. $12 per four-pack. No limits.

The Borrowed Barrels Release @ Cellar West Artisan Ale (Lafayette) – 778 W Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO

Date/ Time: Saturday, February 16 from 1pm-10pm

Details:  We’re quite excited for the release of another really cool oak aged beer. The Borrowed Barrels was a fun project in which we trucked some of our seasoned, multi-use oak barrels over to Boulder’s VisionQuest Brewery. There, we brewed a Saison featuring Spelt malt, flaked barley, and the addition of dried lemon peel, sweet orange peel, and bitter orange peel. We allowed the beer to slowly ferment in the barrels with a blend of Saison yeast and our ambient wild house culture. After months of aging, the barrels were blended and packaged with fresh yeast and sugar for natural conditioning.

The Borrowed Barrels (7.3% ABV.) pours a light marigold/straw color with an unmistakable fluffy head. Huge notes of overripe citrus, dry oak, and farmland air inundate the nose while the palate follows with sundried orange and country grain notes. Equally complex as well as refreshing, us and VisionQuest Brewery are very proud of this beer.

750mL., naturally conditioned bottles of The Borrowed Barrels will be available for purchase at VisionQuest Brewery and Cellar West Artisan Ales on Saturday, February 16th. Bottles will be $19 (tax incl.) with a 4 per person limit. Draft pours will also be available at both locations.

Join us this weekend for a celebration of genuine small-batch brewing and Front Range farmhouse ale!
