I just got finished shoveling snow and am about ready to start my commute to work. There’s no beer in my immediate future, but luckily I can live vicariously through the craft-brewed adventures of the PorchDrinking.com staff. This is What We’re Drinking.
Heads up, Pennsylvania beer enthusiasts! The Brewers of Pennsylvania (BOP), the state’s official brewers guild, has released the details about the 2018 Meeting of the Malts. As usual, it promises to be one of the premier events of the Keystone State’s craft beer scene.
I need to wake up at 4 A.M. to go to the gym. I’m not sure that this is the best way to live my life. I should be staying up late, drinking beer and waking up for work at the last possible second. What’s happening to me?! Anyway, here’s a bunch of stuff I found on Twitter and Instagram. Just because I’m not drinking, doesn’t mean you can’t have your own Weekly Buzz!
Have you been having trouble discovering new beers to try? Well, don’t worry. The PorchDrinking staff has been out discovering tasty brews, so we thought we would point you in the right direction. Sit down and take a look at What We’re Drinking!
This was a crazy week in craft beer! It all started with International Beer Day on Friday. The week hit a critical mass of insanity when Funky Buddha (R.I.P.) was purchased by Constellation Brands and Magnolia Brewing was acquired by New Belgium (and partners). In this edition of The Weekly Buzz, we’ll explore life, liberty (from Big Beer) and the pursuit of happiness. There’s no better way to pursue happiness than by enjoying a fresh, American-made craft beer, so I suggest you drink one while reading!

Wednesday was International Women’s Day and breweries took to social media in droves to celebrate the women who make the brewing industry tick. Whether you’re talking about CEOs, janitors, brewers, bartenders, accountants or salespeople, the modern brewing industry wouldn’t be able to function without these brilliant and hardworking team members. Since I don’t think there’s any other news this important, I present you a special International Women’s Day Edition of The Weekly Buzz.
