Barley’s Angels Chicago, a women’s craft beer education group, is teaming up with Green Flash Brewing Co. at Jerry’s Sandwiches in Lincoln Square on October 12 for an event to benefit Green Flash’s Treasure Chest Initiative.
Treasure Chest was started in 2011 by Green Flash co-founder Lisa Hinkley, who is also a breast cancer survivor. Every year they release a limited-edition beer with the proceeds going to various breast cancer charities.
Tickets cost $32 and include samples of Green Flash beer, a pint of Treasure Chest, a souvenir glass and mini-sandwiches from Jerry’s. The event is women-only. To buy tickets click here.
Last Thursday Metropolitan opened their long awaited tap room. Located at 3057 N Rockwell St., the space features great views of the Chicago River and of course Metropolitan’s beer.
The taproom is dog and kid-friendly and unlike many taprooms when they first open, is open seven days a week.
Returning to the Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, the 7th annual BeerHoptacular will take place across two sessions on Nov 4th. Billed as the first craft beer festival in the city, the sprawling event covers a large portion of the 1.45 million square foot space and features over 75 breweries.
Tickets cost $49 for general admission, or $59 for early admission which gets you four hours at the festival instead of three. To purchase tickets, click here.
