The beer cafe has put out a complete guide to all the breweries that feature a taproom, not just in Chicago, but the surrounding suburbs as well. Every brewery entry features all kinds of useful information for your trip. Books can be purchased at Beermiscuous, at surrounding area merchants or on Amazon here.
On September 15th, Around the Bend will release the latest version of their pistachio cream ale, Vera. The release event will be at Monk’s Pub starting at 5 pm. The brewers will be on-hand to talk about the beer and answer any questions.
The Goose Island 312 Block Party will take place over the course of two days on Sept 22nd and the 23rd, directly outside of the taproom at Fulton and Wood. Featuring live music, food trucks and a variety of Goose Island beer, including some very rare pours, the 312 Block Party is always a very popular event. There is a suggested donation of $10, however, unlike other festivals, there are a variety of charities for you to choose from when you enter. For all the details on the event click here.
After much anticipation, Half Acre’s new tap room opened Saturday evening. The new space is significantly bigger than the Lincoln location and includes lots of outdoor seating.
