Fifth Annual Kentucky Proud Beer Series More Important Now Than Ever Before

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it very difficult for both Kentucky craft breweries and Kentucky agriculture. The two industries will be able to celebrate each other on Wednesday, October 28 for the Fifth Annual Kentucky Proud Beer Series. And the beer they will be celebrating with? Kentucky Craft Beer Recruiting Poll Workers

Poll workers tend to be in the age group that is at a higher risk to contract COVID-19. Oktoberfest Beer Showcase | Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier

The tradition of Hofbräu Munchen began on September 27, 1580, when Duke Wilhelm V founded the brewhouse in Munich. A little less three hundred years later on October 12, 1810, at the wedding of the Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, the “first” Oktoberfest was celebrated. Two years later the Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier was brewed.

In 2003, the Hofbräu concept crossed the Atlantic Ocean opening a mini-brewery and restaurant in the style of the original Hofbräuhaus in Newport, KY, bringing the German beer to America.

Braxton Brewing Announces Release of VIVE Pumpkin Spice Hard Seltzer

Move over Pumpkin Spice Latte, it’s Pumpkin Spice Hard Seltzer time. Granted: PSHS doesn’t have the same ring to it as PSL.

Braxton Brewing Co. announced the launch of VIVE Hard Seltzer Pumpkin Spice in August, becoming the first hard seltzer brand to create a pumpkin spice flavor. The Covington, KY brewery will begin distributing six-packs of the pumpkin spice hard seltzer in September 2020.
