Christmas Classics | Spoetzl Brewery Shiner Holiday Cheer

December 20, 2019 |

Dear Santa,

I’ve done my best this year. Sure, I may have had a few bumps in the road on my way to the Nice List, but what can I say? I’m only human. Besides, a few parking tickets never hurt anyone! Look Santa, I want to reason with you. I don’t need anything too fancy, so you can save the diamond earrings and shiny new cars for the real heroes out there. There is really only one thing I want to find in my stocking this year, and it’s a shiny new bottle of Shiner Holiday Cheer from Spoetzl Brewery. Now, they probably don’t sell this one where you’re from up North, so I’ll give you a few pointers to make sure you know what you’re looking for.

Brewery Showcase | Wiley Roots Brewing Co.

August 13, 2018 |

For the past five years, Kyle and Miranda Carbaugh have been operating Wiley Roots Brewing Company on a quiet dead-end street in Greeley, Colorado. The moment of clarity slapped Dick Mergens out of sleep at 3AM, and he saw it immediately through a boozy haze: “I should open a brewery.” The 23-year-old Lowe’s employee crawled out of his grandparents’ basement the following morning and shared his vision with his coworker Dylan. Soon enough, two other longtime friends were on board. It was only a matter of time before I walked into their brewery to taste Molten Peaches.  Read More

Hall Brewing Co. | Juicy Peach Blonde Ale

August 7, 2017 |

It’s official: Colorado peach season is here! While some associate late summer/early fall with blood oranges and others count the days to pumpkin spice weather, I hold out for those … Read More

Upland Brewing Company | Peach Lambic

June 24, 2014 |

According to the Presidents of the United States of America, peaches come from a can, but Upland Brewing Company in Bloomington, Indiana is proving that peaches can come in a bottle too. Upland is famous throughout the US for their fruited lambic style beers. Lambics are a style from Belgium that is normally a low abv beer that is incredibly tart. The fruit is used to cut the tartness and add a little bit of sweet fruit flavor. Upland’s lambics have become so popular that they’ve had to implement a lottery system. You have to enter to win the opportunity to buy their beer. They just released a peach and persimmon version. Read More

Odell Brewing – Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA

April 16, 2013 |

On a Saturday in Fort Collins, a few of us PorchDrinkers brewery hopped, visiting New Belgium, Funkwerks and Odell. Lucky for us, a new beer debuted that day (April 6) at Odell Brewing, so it was a chance for all of us to try something new. The Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA is just as delicious as it promises to be.
