Awesomesauce | Blog Lovin’
April 24, 2014 | Laura MegoWhen I’m not paying homage to the Bard’s 450th birthday by reading my copy of “William Shakespeare’s Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope” (yes, I’m a nerd, I believe we’ve established this in-depth), I try and catch up with some of my favorite blogs on Feedly (RIP, Google Reader – you shall be missed terribly.)
Here are some of the blogs that have been making me giggle over the last few months:

PorchDrinking Playlist | New-Age Music
April 22, 2014 | Ellie ThompsonEach decade is known for its musical genres and proliferative sub genres (we distinguish the 60’s from the 70’s, the 80’s from the 90’s, but also the mid 80’s from the early 90’s). Many of the artists from the past few years have recycled “oldie” sounds from decades past (1980’s, 1990’s, and even 2000’s), blending the 80’s and 90’s poppy dance vibes with newer styles. For instance, releases from Chromeo, Cut Copy or Holy Ghost! have catchy elements that pay homage to the 1980’s, while incorporating rap, dance and electronic themes. This week you’ll find some of this new-age music that, though recent, may sound familiar thanks to regeneration and the appreciation of pieces of music’s history.

Embrace MLB Instant Replay – It’s Here to Stay
April 14, 2014 | Mike ZollerAh, baseball is back. I love America’s pastime. From the crack of the bat to the pop of the mitt to the stoppage in play because of an official review – baseball is great. For the first time ever instant replay is being used throughout MLB stadiums and everyone has their own opinion on whether it’s good for the game. While there have to be some tweaks to the system, and players will have to change the way they play the game in some instances, I think instant replay is a great thing for baseball and will only improve.
