Top 5 Things to Watch While Sick
January 23, 2014 | AdminIf your office is anything like mine, when one person gets sick, the germs sweep the whole company like wildfire. No one is left unscathed. Everyone in the department stocks up on airborne and hand sanitizer in a feeble attempt to escape the inevitable. I recently got caught up in an epidemic—fever, chills, sweating uncontrollably, cough, runny nose … the works—and found myself having to stay home two full days in a row. But my loss is your future gain as I have now compiled the “Top 5 Things to Watch While Sick.”

Beerstagrams 1/10-1/17
January 17, 2014 | Lizzie BourquePolar Vortex? Psh. PorchDrinkers made sure that the important things were in the fridge before the deep freeze set in across the Midwest and East Coast. And when the temperature finally rose above zero again, it felt balmy enough to enjoy a Hopslam in the snow! A trip to Mad Tree Brewing also helped warm the soul with samples of their finest creations, including psychopathy (get it, psyc-hop-athy). Make sure to tune in next week for some extra special beerstagrams of the New Belgium brewery!

January 14, 2014 | Tristan ChanWe’ve all had those mornings where we’ve crawled out of bed cursing the day we allow another drop of alcohol to poison our lips. Those days are usually wrought with lying around in bed, double digit cups of coffee, Paula Dean levels of lard laden food and a mix of chill but purposeful tunes to inspire and wrench us out of the drudgery. Here is a hangover playlist of beautifully laid back songs for just those occasions. So kick back, take a deep breath and begin to recoup from New Years, Vail Big Beers Belgians and Barleywines or just that random bender you had this past weekend

Please let it be known that we intentionally tend to avoid discussing politics on PorchDrinking unless it involves parody, humor or, more commonly, drinking games. And this election season has certainly provided many such opportunities.
