March is filled with beer-based activities, but none are larger than Collaboration Fest hosted by the Colorado Brewers Guild on March 25th. With 175 breweries participating this year, what new trends are we going to see make waves in the industry? If you’re looking for something just as fun a bit earlier in the month, head over to Uhl’s Brewing Co for their third-anniversary party on the 18th!

With February coming to a close shortly, we’ll be looking ahead to the first weekend in March. FlyteCo Brewing and New Image Brewing will both be celebrating their anniversaries in style! FlyteCo will be hosting a 4-day party March 2-5. With special tappings, karaoke, a DJ and even a hangover brunch, you won’t run out of things to do. Meanwhile, New Image will be releasing five new beers (including some incredible barrel-aged beers), as well as having live music in the afternoon on March 4.

New Terrain & Fritz Family Brewers Team Up for Collab Fest

Preparations for Collaboration Fest 2023 are well underway at breweries around Colorado. Last week, New Terrain Brewing hosted Cory Buenning of Fritz Family Brewers for a collaboration brew day. The two breweries are making an Italian Pilsner that combines Fritz’s knowledge of old-world lagers with New Terrain’s love of stylistic experimentation.

Colorado Springs Beer Community Fundraises for Club-Q Shooting Survivors

Last week a shooter opened fire at Club Q, an LGBTQ bar in Colorado Springs killing five people. Richard Fierro, an Army combat veteran and co-owner of Atrevida Beer Co., was one of the two men who subdued the shooter, preventing further casualties.

If you’re one of the lucky attendees of this year’s GABF, you can find some helpful tips here, that if we’re honest, are pretty valid for first-timers or grizzled veterans of the event!

Ashley and Ryan have been slinging pizzas out of their cute camper for just over a year now, with weekly staples and rotating pies, satisfying tastebuds all around the city. In honor of their first anniversary, they teamed up with Alyssa, head brewer at Jagged Mountain Brewing, to brew up a deliciously unique beer, Pizza Crust Pale Ale.
