Crooked Stave Revives Cellar Reserve Membership Program

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project announced this morning that it will be reviving its previously discontinued Cellar Reserve membership program beginning in 2018. Under the reintroduced program, members will have access to purchase exclusive releases made available only those belonging to the Cellar Reserve program.

Adam Avery on the Decision to Sell a Minority Stake to Mahou San Miguel

Yesterday Avery Brewing Company announced that it would be selling a minority stake, in the range of 30%, to family-owned Spanish brewing group, Mahou San Miguel. Recently celebrating their 24th anniversary, Avery Brewing has served as a pioneer in the art of barrel-aged and high gravity beers.
The news of yesterday’s partnership immediately drew a wide range of reactions and speculation from beer fanatics, so we decided to catch up with Adam Avery, who alongside his father Larry founded Avery in 1993.

Avery Brewing Sells Minority Stake to Mahou San Miguel

This morning Avery Brewing announced that it has sold a minority stake to Mahou San Miguel. The 24 year old Boulder-based company now joins Founders Brewing out of Grand Rapids, MI as the second American-based craft brewery that has seen minority investment from the privately held, family owned Spanish company.

Goose Island began the tradition of kicking off the holiday season with their yearly release of Bourbon County Brand Stout and its subsequent variants the day after Thanksgiving. And since BCBS’ popularity, countless other craft breweries have followed suit.

In 2017, beer festivals have become a dime a dozen, but the ability to create a standout, memorable event, either through the curation of an impressive pour list, creating an immersive attendee experience, or bringing on vendors and acts that add some extra star-power, can take the mundane, run-of-the-mill festival to legendary status. Left Hand Brewing is no stranger to pulling out all of the stops when it comes to throwing a beer festival. Whether it involves constructing a three story snowboard ramp in the middle of Longmont, CO, signing national bands such as Reel Big Fish, and Jeff Austin band to perform live, throwing a massive 8-act tribute band showcase, or throwing one of the state’s largest craft beer Oktoberfest celebration, these festivals generally revolve around a uniquely curated beer lineup, big name artists, and creating an experience that attendees won’t soon forget.
