Event Recap | Stone DRK Beer FestNovember 15, 2019 | Jadon Flores
The Stone DRK Beer Fest was set to kick off right at 6 p.m. The grounds of the Stone gardens is beautiful, tranquil and primal. Rocks and boulders are everywhere with the natural landscape coming through between the ponds and small brooks. On the site there are multiple tasting booths, some serving straight from bottles, other serving from keezers and kegerators, and of course one of the bars.
Ultimate 6er | Beers to Rosé All Day WithJune 19, 2019 | Karen Mills
Rosé All Day. Who hasn’t heard this phrase before? For beer lovers, the opportunity to do so, all the while still enjoying craft beer, is absolutely possible. The Rosé trend has become increasingly popular in the craft beer world, with many breweries have come up with their own recipe of a Rosé inspired beer. There are now Rosé lagers, ales, kettle sours, Brut IPAs, IPAs, and so many more. Regardless of which Rosé style you choose to Rosé all day with, it’ll surely be a good time.
The Weekly Buzz | July 14 – 20July 21, 2017 | Dan Bortz
Happy Friday, PorchDrinkers! Another beautiful beer-soaked weekend is upon us, and that means it is time to recap the week’s finest beer-related tweets. You could just go to Twitter and scroll through it yourself, but why subject yourself to all that political vitriol? I braved the trolls so you wouldn’t have to. So sit down on your porch swing and crack open a beer. It’s time to start The Weekly Buzz.
What We’re Drinking | April 28, 2017April 28, 2017 | Dan Bortz
It’s definitely springtime now! Do you know what that means?! It means doing some ACTUAL drinking on ACTUAL porches! I’m sorry if I seem overexcited, but this is what every PorchDrinker lives for. We’re going to drink at ballparks. We’ll be drinking on patios. There might even be some picnic drinking! Take your laptop out to the porch, crack open a beer, and take some notes. We’re about to put on a serious PorchDrinking demonstration in this week’s edition of What We’re Drinking.
The Weekly Buzz | April 21 – 27April 28, 2017 | Dan Bortz
Ugh. I just realized that I have to mow my lawn today. It is out of control. On the bright side, I get to enjoy a lawnmower beer (or 5). I suggest that you do not follow in my footsteps. Yard work is bull crap. Instead, you should sit on your porch, crack open a fresh beer and hope someone else mows it for you. You can even read this week’s edition of The Weekly Buzz. Reading tweets about beer is WAY more fun than pushing a lawnmower. If you follow this advice, you’ll be much happier (until your municipality fines you for the length of your grass).
The Weekly Buzz | March 3 – 9March 10, 2017 | Dan Bortz
Wednesday was International Women’s Day and breweries took to social media in droves to celebrate the women who make the brewing industry tick. Whether you’re talking about CEOs, janitors, brewers, bartenders, accountants or salespeople, the modern brewing industry wouldn’t be able to function without these brilliant and hardworking team members. Since I don’t think there’s any other news this important, I present you a special International Women’s Day Edition of The Weekly Buzz.

I could talk about it….you know. The Election. But I won’t. Some people are unhappy with the results and the road that lies ahead. Today isn’t about that, though. Today is Veteran’s Day and we want to honor those who have fought so hard for our freedom. Today we honor Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Friends. These are the people who matter! So raise a toast to someone you know who has given their all to keep our country great, always.

Have you ever been on a trip out of state and done quite a bit of beer shopping? You know, you casually search out all the best places to find local craft beer to drink while you’re on your trip. But you end up not drinking any of it because you’re attending a wedding that has plenty o’ booze, so you decide you should probably attempt to pack all the beer into your checked luggage. There’s no way it could be over 50 lbs, right? But you find out that your luggage is over the weight limit and have to remove 12 lbs worth of crap from your checked luggage and shove it into your carry-ons. You don’t know what that’s like? Oh good, neither do I.
Here’s what we’re drinking this week.
