Nestled in the new Edgewater Marketplace at 5505 W 20th Ave Suite 178 in Edgewater, CO, Barquentine (bar-kin-teen) Brewing Company is Belgian inspired with an American twist. Its namesake is an ode to the large ships that are common to international merchant ports like Antwerp, Belgium. Owner Kyle Knudson is hoping to recreate the feel of sailors from around the globe exchanging stories and a laugh over a local beer in Barquentine’s new taproom.
Have you ever seen Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory? The original one with Gene Wilder? That’s kind of what visiting Coda Brewing is like. The brewery is tucked in a warehouse in a residential neighborhood and feels like a middle school science room combined with an old-timey apothecary. Luke Smith, owner, head brewer and yeast wizard, almost looks like Gene Wilder with his curly head of hair and ginger chops.
Located in the heart of Brighton, CO, Something Brewery has been pleasing craft beer lovers since they opened the doors of their tasting room in 2015. With extraordinary service and outstanding beers, there’s no doubt why they’re such a popular brewery. The music and ambiance fosters a welcoming and fun atmosphere, leaving you wanting to stay and hang out with your friends and family; you may even make some new friends while you’re there!
One of my favorite aspects of the craft beer community is just that: the community. There’s a sense of comfort when you’re able to strike up a conversation with locals about the happenings around town. Contributing to the community is one of the main values for Honest Weight. Located on the edge of the Pioneer Valley and neighboring the Quabbin Reservoir (one of the primary water supplies for Boston), Honest Weight Artisan Beer has started to become a household name in the area.
Colorado mountain towns are always something unique and special. Tucked away in the Summit County town of Frisco, just minutes away from several very popular ski resorts and some of the best hiking in Colorado, yet conveniently located off one of the busiest roads in Colorado, you will find Outer Range Brewing Company. Outer Range has only been open since December of 2016 but they’ve already been making waves in the Colorado (and even national) beer scene.
Located nearly smack dab between Denver and Boulder, right off of the US 36 corridor drag, you can find yourself at 4 Noses Brewing Company in Broomfield, Colorado. 4 Noses Brewing Company jumped onto the Colorado beer scene in May of 2014 with their tastefully modern taproom and brewery. Shortly thereafter, they were already making waves with their incredible selection of beer.
