Lucky Envelope Brewing | ENIAC Mosaic IPA

When I think about my favorite places in all of Seattle, my mind doesn’t immediately wander to the the stereotypical Space Needle, the majestic Kerry Park, the cozy Volunteer Park Cafe, or the bustling Trader Joes in the University District (though I do frequent that quite regularly). No – even though these places, and countless others, are near and dear to my heart in the Emerald City, some of my fondest memories, instead, take place on the busy Leary Way strip.

5 Reasons You Need to Buy Capitol Hill Block Party Tickets

June 23, 2016 |

If you’re at all familiar with Seattle, you know that Capitol Hill is one neighborhood within its borders that captures the true flavor, eccentricity, complexity and energy of the dynamic and evolving Emerald City. Capitol Hill – or just ‘the hill’ – is the beating heart of Seattle’s experimental dining, vibrant nightlife, and overall pride. Needless to say, if one was to have a music festival somewhere within the city’s borders – and in the middle of Seattle’s summertime bliss – the hill is the obvious choice. Reuben’s Brews | Daily Pale

May 10, 2016 |

It’s an exciting time to be in Seattle. The cold, grey weather is shedding itself – transforming into long, euphoric days of sunshine. The Bumbershoot lineup has been announced, and is looking absolutely superb. The light rail has finally — finally! — expanded to Capital Hill and the University of Washington, giving us all a new opportunity to escape blood boiling traffic. But the best news of all, at least for Emerald City beer lovers, is that Seattle Beer Week is kicking off on May 12 for ten sweet days of celebration, experimentation and collaboration.

Though we have to wait a few more days until Seattle Beer Week is officially underway, Reuben’s Brews has given us a taste of what we can expect from the festival. Literally. And we must say, it’s damn near perfection. Read More

Geaux Brewing Announces Auburn, WA Expansion

April 20, 2016 |

When we were lucky enough to speak with Jeremy Hubbell, owner and brewer at Geaux Brewing, a few months back, he had hinted something big in the works. As we are big fans of Geaux – snatching up their beer at every chance that we can, and basking in their Louisiana themed taproom at every opportunity that comes our way – it’s safe to say that we were anxiously awaiting the news. And now that news has come.

Ultimate 6er | Parks & Recreation

April 6, 2016 |

OK, I admit it. I’m a little late getting on the Parks & Recreation train – but thanks to an obsessed roommate, recent downtime, and my Netflix account, I can now confidently say that I am a fan. A big fan. In fact, one of my most recent life goals is to be more like Leslie Knope.

When brainstorming for this week’s Ultimate 6er, I couldn’t help but pair some of my favorite brews with the lovable, relatable, hysterical Pawnee Parks crew. Let’s take some of our original favorites from the NBC hit comedy and give them some deserving beer, shall we? We hope that these will be a good fit for a picnic in the park sometime soon. Read More

The history of Geaux Brewing starts, innocently enough, with a pizza party and a Whole Foods run.

The year was 2011, and Jeremy Hubbell was planning his weekly Friday pizza party in a business park in Bellevue, Washington. Every Friday, Hubbell would order a few pizzas and pair them with a selection of solid beers purchased from the local Whole Foods down the road for his coworkers. Read More
