Charlie Papazian Announces Upcoming Exit from Brewers Association

Charlie Papazian, who famously penned The Complete Joy of Homebrewing has announced that he will be exiting his role with The Brewers Association on January 23, 2019, to coincide with his 70th birthday and 40 years serving the craft beer community.
Upland Brewing Announces Limited Colorado Distribution

Just in the past 5 years since PorchDrinking’s existence, we’ve seen alleyway breweries grow to become national powers, startups in rural towns grow to become coveted brands, and a countless number of homebrewers who have their desk jobs to become household names among beer circles.

America Now Boasts Over 6000 Breweries in Operation & More Beer Stats

That number reflects an increase of over 438 operational breweries since their mid-year report was announced in August, and an increase of approximately 1000 breweries in operation since last December 2016.
