This is a cultural crossover for the ages, thrilling both Swifties and NFL fans alike. Until these rumors are actually confirmed, I’ll be busy setting my fantasy football lineups, streaming Getaway Car (IYKYK) and daydreaming about this perfect duo. And speaking of perfect pairings, here are 6 beers the maybe couple should be sipping on as their love story unfolds.
2SP Brewing Co. | Holiday Reserve Coffee Stout
February 5, 2021 | Kurt BevilacquaCollaborations are a regular occurrence in the world of craft beer. It’s one of the aspects that makes the industry unique — that togetherness and proof that competition isn’t a focal point. With their Holiday Reserve Coffee Stout, 2SP Brewing Co., which is located just outside of Philadelphia, took the idea of collaboration and looked outside the box.

Whether you live in Philadelphia, the surrounding area that wishes it was Philly, or are just visiting, the significance of the history of the eastern Pennsylvania city is undeniable. From statues of individuals such as William Penn, John Barry and George Washington, to the bricked neighborhood of Old City and an almost deity like appreciation of Benjamin Franklin, the 300+ years of history are sure to include beer as well. Yards Brewing Company, in the city’s Northern Liberties neighborhood, thrives off the old world tradition of beer styles with Jefferson’s Golden Ale, formerly called Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale.

April 29, 2020 | E.G. MettsJawn – /jôn/ – (noun)
“Eastern Pennsylvania slang used to refer to a person, place, thing or event that one need not or can not give specific name to.”
Not as in I jawn, you jawn, he… she… we… jawn. That usage would be incorrect. The proper usage of “jawn” is for any and all nouns. Including Neshaminy Creek JAWN Pale Ale.

2SP Brewing Company | The End
June 26, 2018 | Kurt BevilacquaThere is a jubilant exuberance that takes over a Delco native when you ask where they hail from. They mention the nickname Delco, short for Delaware County, PA, a region adjacent to the city of Philadelphia, before referring to themselves as a Pennsylvania native. They will fill you in on Wawa, their beloved Iggles (known by most as the Eagles) and what to order at Pica’s. But they also are proud of their local breweries—rightfully so! 2SP Brewing Company, located in Aston, PA, has been brewing any and all styles that they please with consistent quality since opening their doors in 2015. 2SP’s newly released double dry-hopped DIPA, The End, exemplifies that quality.

Located at 500 Spring Garden Street and called Yards Brewery and Taproom, this expansion provides a new 70,000-sqare-foot facility to produce their approachable ales and lagers. Yards was already one of the most recognizable craft beer brands in the city, but the move to this facility – located only blocks from the historic Liberty Bell – helps to cement their reputation as “Philadelphia’s Brewery”.
Event Recap | Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Philadelphia
June 23, 2017 | Kurt BevilacquaAfter just a short time in line to get through security and ID checks, I made my way into the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, PA. I grabbed a sample glass with a green Sierra Nevada’s logo stamped on it and thanked the volunteers as I made my way into the festival grounds. Once in, I scanned the venue to see which tent to hit first. It can sometimes seem overwhelming when you first get into a beer festival, seeing the vast amount of choices with all the breweries lined up one after another. No choice is a bad one, but, personally, I was looking to begin the day off right at Beer Camp.
