Denver’s Mockery Brewing & Butcher’s Bistro Raise $1,320 for Charity

Mile High City brewery Mockery Brewing and Butcher’s Bistro collaborated during the month of March to support a favorite charity, Veterans to Farmers.

Throughout the month, for every pint of Mockery’s “Rock the F*ck on Forever” IPA sold at Butcher’s Bistro, $1 went to the nonprofit. In addition, at the end of the month Butcher’s Bistro hosted a silent auction and celebration for Veterans to Farmers great work.

Denver’s Mockery Brewing & Butcher’s Bistro Partnering in March Fundraiser for Veterans

Denver restaurant Butcher’s Bistro and RiNo brewery Mockery Brewing are partnering in a fundraiser for the charity Veterans to Farmers for nearly all of March. Now through March 29, for every pint of Mockery’s “Rock the F*ck on Forever” IPA sold at Butcher’s Bistro, the charity will receive $1.

Additionally, on the final day Butcher’s Bistro will host a silent auction and a celebration party of the great work of Veterans to Farmers. The fundraiser finale starts at 5:30 p.m. on March 29.

Some people might dread a visit to the in-laws over the holidays, but I did not. This could have been attributed to having fun relatives, playing tons of games and reminiscing about the year. Or it could be that one of the great beers from a fantastic brewery is just a few blocks away from the in-laws house. Let’s say it is a mixture of all that because Pliny the Elder is great beer to share with the family and celebrate the holidays. Now, I am sure you have a drink that makes you think of being with friends and family for the holidays. While Pliny the Elder is available year-round, it definitely makes me think about holidays in Northern California since that is the only time I get a chance to taste it.

Makin’ Noise: A Pussy Riot Beer Project Celebrates Anniversary After Raising $25K

Just over a year ago, five Colorado female brewers joined together for a series of collaboration beers made to raise money for charity and support a protest. Today, the Makin’ Noise: A Pussy Riot Beer series is starting its second year and releasing Version 5 on Saturday. To date, the movement has garnered 20 brewers to participate, and generated over $25,000 for various charities across Colorado!

Autumn in Colorado might be the best showcase of why the Centennial State is so great. Oh, let me count the ways:

  • We still have the warm days to sport our flops like how one is supposed to.
  • We have the cold to days to sport our flops like how one is not advertised to do so.
  • The mountains getting their first pow-pow!

  • The Broncos are looking good. The Rockies made the playoffs for the first time since 2009. The Nuggets are prepping for a possible return to the playoffs. And the Avs are… aiming to improve, as we all are.
  • There’s G-A-B-F!!!
  • Oktoberfest beers, a whole day (more like all-month) to dress-up, pumpkin beers, Christmas ales, and holidays (aka great times to share your favorite brews with friends and family).

Colorado Brewery Openings for July, August & September 2017

It’s getting hot out herrrrrrre… like ridiculously hot. I just want to pop up a tent right next to an open fridge door like in The Simpsons and just cool off. However, a more refrigerator-motor-friendly option is to grab a beer from one of the 16 Colorado brewery openings occurring in the next three months.

From July to August and through September, breweries all across the state will open up. Many of these breweries you could even check out on your way to or from an awesome camping spot.

Just as the Fresh Prince said, “Summer, summer, summer time. Time to sit back and unwind.” You’ll want to unwind by checking out these new Colorado breweries.
