What We’re Drinking | November 3, 2017

November 3, 2017 |

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been so busy this week prepping and packing for my trip to Colorado! My boyfriend and I are planning on hitting multiple breweries on our road trip up and sharing that sweet California craft beer with them! Plus, we aren’t going to the beer-centric part of Colorado, but to Hotchkiss, which is closer to the border of Utah. I can’t wait to share some good beer with my family and relax! Pull on your most favorite blanket and check out What We’re Drinking.

The Weekly Buzz | October 20 – 26

October 27, 2017 |

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you’re completely and totally scatterbrained? I am having one right now. I can’t believe I even managed to pull together this modest collection of social media nonsense. It just goes to show that you can complete any task if you procrastinate until the last possible second and then scroll through Twitter at a frantic pace. So, in honor of my half-assery – which may or may not be a word – let’s raise a glass and dive into The Weekly Buzz.

The Weekly Buzz | September 29 – October 5

October 6, 2017 |

I hear that there is some kind of beer festival in Denver this week, but I don’t want to discuss those things. OK, I do want to discuss those things, but I won’t because I’m jealous and spiteful. Somebody had to stay home and mind the store, so it may as well be me. Due to the grudge I’m choosing to hold, there will be no further mention of that festival. For everyone else who is stuck at home, here is The Weekly Buzz.

The Weekly Buzz | September 15 – 21

September 22, 2017 |

Today is the first day of fall, although you wouldn’t know it. It’s supposed to be in the 80s again in Pennsylvania. Ridiculous. Oktoberfest beers are releasing, and I’m stuck here wondering how exactly I’m supposed to enjoy a ridiculously oversized Märzen in that kind of heat? I guess I will just have to suck it up and muddle through. Finish off those summer seasonals that you’ve been hoarding and get ready for The Weekly Buzz!

July 7, 2017 |

It’s a federal holiday, an extra day off from work and, above all else, a celebration of independence. The Fourth of July is a celebration of our nation’s independence but, this week, we also found ourselves in a discussion about the independence of craft beer. In this edition of The Weekly Buzz, we’ll explore life, liberty (from Big Beer) and the pursuit of happiness. There’s no better way to pursue happiness than by enjoying a fresh, American-made craft beer, so I suggest you drink one while reading!

Event Recap | Firestone Walker Invitational

June 12, 2017 |

The first time I heard about the Firestone Walker Invitational, I wasn’t quite sure I understood the gravity associated with it. It peaked my interest for sure—a festival with food and music, hosted by a brewery with the reputation like Firestone Walker. It’s exciting but really there are plenty of beer festivals happening all the time. Then I saw who was participating, and the weight of the event started to gain clarity. Read More

Valentine’s Day fell this week, and I have reaffirmed my love for beer. It is the sun to my moon and the surf to my turf. I mean my kids and lady are great, too, but have you tried beer? They should write a romantic comedy about me and beer. It would be a smash hit. Any Hollywood producers want to get that green-lit for me?  Well, anyway, I was on Twitter this week, and this is The Weekly Buzz.

First and foremost, this week’s edition of The Weekly Buzz contains a big “Thank You” to all the veterans who have served this country. No matter what political affiliation you may hold, these people deserve our respect. Remember: It’s fine to disagree with your country’s motives for war or military action, but we, as citizens, must always continue to support the brave women and men who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. Thank you to all the veteran’s who have served.

Now that the serious stuff is out of the way, grab yourself a beer. It’s time to get buzzed.
