Denver Beer Company Opens Fourth Taproom Location in Lowry

Since their opening their downtown Denver taproom on Platte Street in 2011, Denver Beer Company’s hyper-focus on the local community has allowed them to become one of Denver’s most recognized breweries in the state. This road map has led to the opening of multiple neighborhood taproom locations throughout the last decade with outposts in Arvada, South Denver’s Rosedale neighborhood, Sunnyside, and this week yet another in the Lowry neighborhood.

With February coming to a close shortly, we’ll be looking ahead to the first weekend in March. FlyteCo Brewing and New Image Brewing will both be celebrating their anniversaries in style! FlyteCo will be hosting a 4-day party March 2-5. With special tappings, karaoke, a DJ and even a hangover brunch, you won’t run out of things to do. Meanwhile, New Image will be releasing five new beers (including some incredible barrel-aged beers), as well as having live music in the afternoon on March 4.

Usually I’d say only in New York, but this past weekend, that answer got updated to include New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado. New Belgium’s annual Lost in the Woods party brought the Big Apple to the snowy mountains this year, and the result was a bustling bash that channeled all the best parts of Manhattan without that tangy subway smell.
River North Brewery | Anniversary 11 Quadruple Barrel Aged Stout

River North Brewery has gained a reputation for pushing the envelope when it comes to ABV, and for their 11th anniversary they have turned the dial all the way to 11. Or perhaps that is all the way to 23, matching the monstrous alcohol percentage of Anniversary 11, a quadruple barrel aged Stout that pushes ABV boundaries. River North is ringing in Year 11 with an emphatic statement of a beer that deserves to be talked about.
New Terrain & Fritz Family Brewers Team Up for Collab Fest

Preparations for Collaboration Fest 2023 are well underway at breweries around Colorado. Last week, New Terrain Brewing hosted Cory Buenning of Fritz Family Brewers for a collaboration brew day. The two breweries are making an Italian Pilsner that combines Fritz’s knowledge of old-world lagers with New Terrain’s love of stylistic experimentation.

2023 Collaboration Fest Will Feature 175 Participating Breweries

Off Color Brewing | Sī Fáng Pale Lager

Off Color Brewing of Chicago is known for its funky beers, an IPA-free menu and mice illustrations. More recently, the brewery is known for a sold-out beer and dumpling pairing event for the release of Sī Fáng Pale Lager, brewed in collaboration with QXY Dumplings. The collaboration between Off Color and QXY is unique from other collaborations. Typically, two breweries collaborate and leverage both of their respective audiences. For Sī Fáng, Off Color collaborated with Qing Xiang Yuan (QXY) to highlight an underrepresented neighborhood of Chicago, Chinatown. Unlike a regular beer release, the Off Color team worked with their friends at QXY to create not only an incredible beer but an exciting pairing experience.
Where to Find 2023 Pliny the Younger Tappings in Colorado

Each February, Russian River Brewing‘s limited release of Pliny the Younger becomes a major event at both of the brewery’s Santa Rosa and Windsor locations and in the limited out-of-state markets that are lucky enough to receive shipments.
