Forager Brewery | 9th Anniversary Showcase
December 2, 2024 | Eric GriffinIt’s been about two and a half months since Forager Brewing’s 9th Anniversary Foragerfest celebration, and people are still buzzing about the bottles released for the occasion. Free to attend and open to all ages, Foragerfest has become hugely popular over the years, and people have traveled from near and far to Rochester, Minnesota to get a taste of the one-off barrel-aged offerings, live music, and artisan markets that have become so popular at the event. Austin Jevne and the team were generous enough to send us the full lineup from this year to review and share on PorchDrinking, and we can’t thank them enough for allowing us the chance to share the experience with our readers.
Midwest Coast Fifth Anniversary Celebration
September 23, 2024 | Emma WargoletMidwest Coast Brewing opened its doors in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago in 2019, and to celebrate hitting five years, they will be hosting an anniversary event all day on Saturday, September 28th. Despite the obvious bump in the road in 2020, they have been able to craft exceptional beers, open up a beautiful year-round patio (an absolute treat in the midwest winter), and maintain a loyal customer base throughout these five years. This celebration is a thank you to the customers and craft beer community that has made this last half decade possible.
Voodoo Brewing | ManBearPig South Park Anniversary Showcase
August 13, 2024 | Eric GriffinIt may only be diehards who know this, but today marks the 27th anniversary of South Park. The show, which chronicles the misadventures of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, has divided viewers with its controversial takes on political, religious and social issues since its first episode in 1997. It has had a lasting impact on popular culture through its boundary-pushing comedy, unique animation and rapid-fire turnaround time allowing for quick responses to real-time world events. It’s even made its way into craft beer. The team at Voodoo Brewing are long-time fans of the influential series, and we thought who better to celebrate another year of South Park with than the crew that brought us ManBearPig.

Firestone Walker | Anniversary XXVII
November 8, 2023 | Robert FrenchWhen you think of legendary anniversary beers, Firestone Walker has to be pretty close to the top of this list. Not only do they consistently produce incredible blended beers, it’s how they come to that final blend that makes it so special. As with previous versions, local winemakers come together to compete to put their names on that winning blend. Read More
Celebrating Nine Years With Liquid Mechanics Brewing Co.
August 16, 2023 | Jennie OlsonThis weekend, Liquid Mechanics Brewing Co. located in Lafayette, CO will celebrate its 9th Anniversary. A conversation with CEO Davin Helden over a couple of their award winning Mexican Lagers – Cerveza Mechanica – proves it’s no accident they are still thriving nearly a decade after first opening. A thoughtful commitment to what Helden calls the 3 S’s “Suds, Space, and Service” has been the simple yet powerful motto fueling the brewery since day one. Read More
On Their 4th Anniversary Celebration, Over Yonder Continues to ‘Surrender to the Flow’
May 31, 2023 | Seth Garland“We love craft beer, we love music, and we want to bring it all together for the world.”
On the surface, the words of Jessica Bilodeaux — co-owner of Over Yonder Brewing Co. in Golden, Colorado — seem obvious and simple. Make good beer. Celebrate good music. Why not? It’s a fairly popular dream in these United States.
Knotted Root Brewing Celebrates Second Anniversary On Top Of The World
July 13, 2021 | Jaclyn MenendezNestled in the foothills of Boulder, CO, the tiny town of Nederland is more than 8,000 feet above sea level. The winding road into town is about 16 miles of pure straight up, twisting through the mountains, running parallel to a roaring creek, making you feel closer to the sky than the ground. It’s fitting, then, that Knotted Root Brewing Company has made its home here. At its second-year anniversary party (which occurred this past Fourth of July weekend), it was tough to imagine any other brewery feeling more on top of the world.
Flying Dog Brewery | Great Job!
October 5, 2020 | Casey StreetFlying Dog Brewery is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new Double IPA called Great Job!, tongue-in-cheek self-congratulation for 30 years of, as its own press release puts it, “Good Beer, No Shit.”

10 Questions with Strange Craft Beer to Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary
May 23, 2020 | Tristan ChanA decade can feel like a lifetime in the craft beer industry. Such is the case for Denver’s Strange Craft Beer Company, who last Tuesday celebrated their 10 year anniversary. When they first opened in 2010, they became just the 10th brewery in operation at the time within the city of Denver, and now that number has swelled to approximately 80. Read More
Firestone Walker Brewing | Anniversary XXIII
December 2, 2019 | Robert French 1As barrel-aged beers go, Firestone Walker is one of the most consistent producers out there. When it comes to their anniversary beer, it’s hard to pass this one up.
Firestone Walker just released XXIII, the fourteenth beer they’ve released as part of their anniversary series, which dates back to 2006. As with all of the previous anniversary beers, it’s a blend of many of their well crafted barrel-aged offerings.
Purpose Brewing Celebrates Two Years as Peter Bouckaert Declares, “Trends are Boring”
August 15, 2019 | Jaclyn MenendezThe second anniversary of Purpose Brewing was really, really hot. I don’t mean in popularity, though that would also be true: it was packed from the minute the doors opened at 2pm and stayed bustling throughout the entire weekend. But it was also one of the hottest days of summer so far in the Coloradoan city of Fort Collins, where Peter and Frezi Bouckaert opened their doors two years ago to a thirsty public. Despite the blistering sun outside, crowds stalked the air-conditioned tables inside and huddled up under tents outside to enjoy their beer in some shade. “Yes, it’s a million degrees out. And yes, I’m drinking a stout,” laughed one patron as he wiped the sweat from his brow. “But come on, have you tried this one?”
Wiley Roots Brewing Celebrates Six Years with Two Slushie Machines and One Cease & Desist (So Far)
August 1, 2019 | Jaclyn MenendezWhat can be accomplished in six years? Well, it takes six years to watch all the movies made since 2003, six years to get some seriously aged cheddar cheese, and, if you’re a true PorchDrinker, six years to graduate college. Wiley Roots Brewing didn’t need six years to become one of the most talked-about Colorado breweries in the scene today, but as they celebrated their sixth anniversary last weekend, head brewer and co-owner Kyle Carbaugh could tell you that those years have been filled with their share of change.
Five Questions with Rhinegeist | Celebrating Six Years of Brewing
June 28, 2019 | Mathew PowersRhinegeist in Cincinnati is about the celebrate six years of brewing, and what a journey it has been. Three years ago, we featured the brewery’s Streaker Rye IPA and I wrote, “Streaker Rye IPA from Cincinnati’s up-and-coming Rhinegeist provides insight into why this Queen City brewery is enjoying such rapid success.” Well, three years later, it is no longer accurate to describe Rhinegeist as “up and coming.” They’ve arrived.
The brewery operating in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District in Cincinnati (from whence the brewery name is derived), has grown into one of the nation’s largest breweries. We had a chance to pose Five Questions to Bryant Goulding, Co-Founder and VP of Sales & Marketing for Rhinegeist, and ask about where the brewery is, where it’s been and where it’s going.

Upslope Brewing Announces 50+ Beers for 9th Anniversary Party Pour List
November 1, 2017 | Tristan ChanDuring recent history it’s become abundantly clear that Upslope Brewing enjoys throwing a big ol birthday bash. As we’ve detailed in years past, the Boulder-based brewery has gained a rabid following for a solid core lineup of traditional styles, but each year, Upslope goes all-out during its anniversary to venture beyond the norm, mixing in experimental styles, unique and inventive firkins as well as a host of vintages they’ve accrued over the years.
